Der vollständig aus Eisen hergestellte Backofen ist im Innern mit Schamotteziegeln 1 augelheidet, zu dem Zwecke, die dem Backofen erteilte Wärme zurückzuhalten bezw. einer allzu raschen Erhitzung vorzubeugen.
Um sämtliche Begrenzungsflächen des Backofens verlaufen geeignet angeordnete Gasrohrnetze 2, deren einzelne Rohre gegen die Baekraum- wandung zu mit Durchlochungen versehen sind, durch welche das Gas unmittelbar gegen die Wandungen strömt und diese erhitzt. Von einem der Hauptrohre aus wird das obere, von dem anderen das untere Rohrnetz gespeist, so dass die Wärme dem Bedarfe entsprechend verteilt werden kann. An den Hauptrohren angeordnete Hähne 3 vermitteln die Regulierung des Gasverbrauches und bedingen demnach d : f Regulierung der Wärmezuführung.
Die Einrichtungen, welche in der Zeichnung mit 4-11 bezeichnet sind, dienen zur Erzeugung und Wiederableitung des Dampfes für den Backofen.
