Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein vereinigter Gewehrmündungsdeckel und Kornschützer, welcher gleichzeitig sowohl die Laufbohrung vor Regen, Staub, Schmutz u. dgl. schützt, als auch die Beschädigung und gewaltsame Verschiebung des Kornes verhindert. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einer an den Stirnseiten offenen Hülse 1, deren Form der Mündung des Gewehrlaufes samt Korn entspricht. Die über das Korn reichende Seite der HÜlse ist entweder geschlossen (Fig. 1, 2, 3, 5 und d) oder offen (Fig. 4). An der Hülse ist ein Hals 2 befestigt, welcher den Mündungsdeckel trägt, der entweder scharnierartig auf-und abklappbar (Fig. 1-+) oder unbeweglich (Fig. 5 und 6) am Halse 2 befestigt ist. Der Mündungsdeckel besteht aus einem Ringe. 3, der an seiner inneren Fläche eine ringförmige Nute besitzt, auf welche ein kreisförmiger Spiegel 4 aus Leder, Stanniol, Papier oder anderem Stoffe von geringer Widerstandsfähigkeit gelegt und mittels eines federnden Ringes 5 befestigt wird.

Die Vorrichtung nach vorliegender Erfindung wird immer auf dem Gewehr getragen und soll nur vor dem Schiessen abgenommen werden. Infolge des Spiegels 4 von geringer Widerstandsfähigkeit sind jedoch die nachteiligen Folgen, z. B. verwendungen, Laufausbauchungen u. s. w., vermieden, welche dadurch entstehen können, dass der Mann ver- siimtt, vor dem Schiessen die Vorrichtung abzunehmen.
Infolge der Kompression, welche heim Schuss im Gewehrlauf entsteht, wird nämlich der Spiegel weggeblasen, bevor das Geschoss den Lauf verfasst.
