72 in Verbindung.

<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

EMI1.1
EMI1.2
The subject of the present invention is an improved embodiment of the type of devices known from patent no. 15258 for impregnating liquids with gas, in which a certain amount of liquid is driven into the mixing container by the gas pressure and at the same time an approximately equal amount of liquid from the latter is displaced outside, so that the mixing of gas and liquid takes place under full gas pressure and in a relatively very short time. The purpose of the improved embodiment is to enable the apparatus to be used both for pouring and for filling the impregnated liquid into bottles or the like.
This purpose is achieved on the one hand by the fact that the valves are not operated by a shaft that rotates continuously in one direction, as in the original embodiment, but rather by a shaft that oscillates between two limit positions, which enables the air outlet valve located on the outlet container to move Operate at will or let the liquid escape into the bottle under full gas pressure.
In the accompanying drawing: Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the complete one
EMI1.3
the control device thereof; FIG. 3 is a section along 10-10 of FIG. 2; 4 shows a section 11-11 of FIG. 2: FIG. 5 shows a section 12-12 of FIG. 2: FIGS. 6 and 7 show a modified embodiment of the dispensing container, in which instead of the automatic one is closed by hand actuate the shut-off valve occurs.
The essential parts of the device are, as in the construction described in the above-mentioned patents, an inlet container A, a mixing container B, a dispensing container C (FIG. 2), which can be replaced by a filling device W (FIG. 1) as desired and an intermediate container M. These parts are here basically connected to one another in the same way as in the device mentioned above. The water to be impregnated comes from the water pipe or another high-level container into the intermediate container M. in which a constant water level is obtained through the float valve M1 and a certain maximum pressure is obtained through the valve M2, M3, M4.
From the intermediate container, which is known to enrich the liquid with gas

Float valve P and a combined exhaust and equalizing valve S1, T, the device of which is described in an additional application to the aforementioned Ernndung. The mixing container B is connected through line 1, 11 (FIG. 4, with the valve chamber. J2, the latter with the open valve J4 with the channel 72. Either the dispensing container 2) or a filling device can now be connected to this channel J22 be connected in the following way.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
A connecting pin W1 (Fig. 1) is screwed onto the mouth of the channel J22 n, softer with a longitudinal bore W2 adjoining the ') (anal-122) and a transverse bore Ws connecting the longitudinal bore Ws with a circumferential channel W6.

which is connected to the above-mentioned channel Q2 by channel L2 (Fig. 4, 5), Li, Q8 and Q9.
A second pin W4 is rotatably seated on the pin WI, which is sealed against the pin WI and nut by sealing rings TVll, has a longitudinal bore W7 extending approximately to the pin center and carries a loosely rotatable sleeve 1, the transverse bore W9 with the circumferential channel Ws and hence also with

and secured against longitudinal displacement by collar Wló and nut W16. The bottle x to be filled is brought with its mouth to the opening of the channel W9 and held in place by a clamping device of any construction.
As can be seen from Fig. 1 to 4, the manually operated short control shaft H is approximately in the middle between the appropriate stuffing boxes to the outside
EMI2.3
and arranged above the valve spindle D7 of the gas inlet valve D4 and provided with thumbs G3, G2, G, of which G3 opens the pressure reducing valve J11 in one limit position (at the same time the rest position) of the shaft, while G, G2 equals in the second limit position.
EMI2.4
open opposite. That the air respectively.
Valve P regulating the gas outlet from the inlet container A is opened by means of a two-armed lever R2 which, when the shaft H moves back into the rest position (Fig. 1), is moved by the thumb GI and then released before the end position of the shaft H is reached becomes. When the shaft H moves in the opposite direction, the bolt R acting on the valve is not affected.
The mode of operation of the device is as follows: Usually, the control shaft 77 is in the end position shown in FIG. 1, in which valve J11 is open, so that channel W2 is in communication with the atmosphere (via valve S '). In the inlet tank A there is water. The valves P, 71, D4, J4, T are closed, the valve S1 is open. The bottle x provided with a ball valve x1 is clamped and placed in such a way that the ball valve remains ineffective resting on the narrowing of the bottle neck. As is known, this constriction is designed in such a way that it is not closed by valve xl. If the shaft II is now rotated by hand, the valve first closes.
J11, then valves D4 and J4 are opened at the same time (or almost simultaneously), so that the gas coming from E transfers the water (oil) in the inlet tank A into the mixing tank and at the same time a corresponding amount of liquid from the mixing tank Valve 4 and channels W2, l'F is pressed into bottle x. The valve P remains closed by the gas pressure.
EMI2.5
the valve 7 'is opened by means of the thumb and lever R2 and bolt R, so that the gas in the inlet container A first escapes through valve T into the intermediate container M and then through valve 81 into the open. Valve BI closes automatically here. After the pressure has been reduced accordingly, the water pin passes through valve A4 and closes the valve.The bottle to be filled usually has a much larger volume than the inlet container A and therefore the apparatus must be activated several times by turning the shaft H back and forth in order to complete the bottle to fill.
The user of the apparatus now has it in his hand, after opening the valve P, to turn the shaft H completely back and to open the valve 111 or to move it forwards again immediately after opening the valve P. In the former case, he lets gas from the bottle through the channels W7, W2, J23, L2, L1, Q8, Q2 into the intermediate container H respectively. escape into the open and thereby reduce the pressure and the carbonic acid content at will, in the latter case the bottle remains closed from the outside. In most cases it is advisable to open the valve on the first and second fillings and leave it closed only on the last or two fillings.
Before it is removed, the bottle x including the clamping device is rotated around the pin W4 by about 180 () so that valve x1 closes the bottle mouth. It must be noted that, if the pressure reduction at the end of the first fillings is dispensed with, the bottle can be filled in the last-mentioned position in which the ball valve closes automatically. One could also turn the bottle upside down (with the mouth pointing downwards) after the first few fillings in which the valve 111 has been actuated by completely turning back the shaft H and carry out the further fillings without opening the valve J ".
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
Siphons can be filled in much the same way by means of the apparatus described. It must be emphasized that the improved arrangement makes it possible, even when the apparatus is used as a pouring device, to reduce the pressure in the dispensing container as desired or to allow the liquid to escape under a pressure exceeding atmospheric, depending on the valve J ″ being opened or not, but for this purpose the discharge of the liquid from the dispensing container, which in the original arrangement of the apparatus forming the subject of the earlier patent was dependent on the opening of the valve J11, must also be possible with the valve J11 closed.
This is achieved simply by replacing the automatic valve 04 (FIG. 2) with a handle 119 from the shaft H with the help of the eccentric cul3, rod 012 and lever 011 to s. controlling valve 010 is attached to the mouth of the dispensing vessel (Figs. 6 and 7).
In addition to the advantages mentioned above, the improved design compared to the previous one has the advantage that all valves are more easily accessible and can be sealed better. By releasing the gas from the dispensing container BEZW. the bottle to be filled in the intermediate container, gas consumption is significantly reduced.
The conversion of the device from a pouring device to a filling device or vice versa can be accomplished within a very short time by simply screwing on a connecting piece.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Device for impregnating liquids with gas, in which a certain amount of liquid is driven into the mixing container under full gas pressure and at the same time a corresponding amount of impregnated liquid is displaced from the latter, characterized in that, in order to use the device both for To enable pouring as well as for filling the liquid on bottles, the control shaft (II), from which the valves are moved, receives an oscillating movement, for the purpose of increasing the pressure in the to be filled in rapid succession by suitable actuation of the valves Bottle to reduce resp. to keep the latter closed and to prepare a new quantity of liquid for filling into the bottle.
2. An embodiment of the device mentioned under 1, in which in one limit position of the shaft (H) the pressure reducing valve (. 7) by means of a thumb G3, in the other limit position the gas inlet valve (D4) and the intermediate valve (J by means of thumb G, (? be opened, while a thumb G1 is used to actuate the float valve (P), which comes into effect when the shaft moves back from the last-mentioned to the first-mentioned limit position.
