go and can be obtained therefrom in pure state by any known method. The chloride-containing salt mixture can take various forms
 EMI2.1
The ratio of one molecule of chlorate to five molecules of chloride gives the most favorable result, if this is absolutely not necessary, the solution or the salt mixture will be used for purely economic reasons, provided that the above combinations

be subjected to electrolysis with advantage for this purpose. It goes without saying that, without changing the result, one can use salt mixtures obtained by other means than electrolytic, which contain chlorate in addition to chloride.

The method for separating metal mixtures, alloys, etc. can be used with the same advantage.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Process for the chlorination of ores and metals by means of chlorates and perchlorates in combination with an acid, characterized in that the chlorates or perchlorates or a mixture of both are used mixed with chloride.

Claims (1)

2. Embodiment of the method according to claim 1, characterized in that instead of the dry chlorate or perchlorate-chloride mixtures liquids are used which, in addition to chloride, also contain chlorate or perchlorate or both, such as. B. a correspondingly conducted electrolysis subjected to saline solutions u. like
