grund treten.

it is expedient to use one of the vacuum pressure processes known per se, where for example tar oil can be reintroduced to the approximate extent of the previous loss on drying,

kick ground. The invention is described in more detail in an example below, but is not to be understood as being restricted to this.
Embodiment: For example, if you want to preserve wood that is difficult to drink, such as spruce (e.g. for the production of telegraph poles), you should proceed as follows: You start with wood that is ready to drink, i. 11. normal air-dry wood, as is usually the case with wood preservation. The material is then poured into an impregnating liquid according to the invention

the pretreatment can be carried out not only in the form of such an immersion process, but also in the form of a boiler process using air dilution and aerostatic or hydraulic pressure.
For example, the rods can also be placed in a pressure vessel under a pressure of around 8-10 atm. treat for several, about one to three, hours.
The soaking liquid consists of an aqueous solution, for example of sapocresol (usual 50% commercial product) in a dilution of After the described treatment in one form or another, the rods are removed and the pretreatment liquid is then partially removed by means of vacuum or preferably by air drying, u. between the dimensions required for the desired impregnation with the main impregnating agent. Then in the usual way, for example with tar oil of a specific gravity s = 1-01 to 1-14,

which see should partly mix with the main impregnating substance.
Surprisingly, it shows a success that has never been achieved with hard-to-drink woods such as spruce, namely that tar oil has soaked the developed, sap-bearing zone, whereby the wood appears in color from brown to deep black, depending on the amount of oil used. A deep black color can e.g. B. can be achieved by using 70-200 kg of the above tar oil per cubic meter of spruce. In detail, this tar oil uptake naturally also depends on the width of the zone developed in the pretreatment, on the strength of the main impregnation used and on the special nature of the various trunks.
