Fig. 2 zeigt die prinzipielle Anordnung der Einrichtung.

Seb circuit arrangement for determining the number of impulses of contact works.
When checking contacts of a rotating or running type (number switch for telephones), a measure of the quality of the device in addition to the proper mechanical functions of the individual parts, such as contacts, springs, etc. Like., primarily the pulse ratio and the number of pulses. These parameters are not only checked during the manufacture and assembly of the devices, but, as their value depends on the current condition, wear and tear, etc., they are temporarily checked.
According to FIG. 1, the pulse ratio VJ is usually given a constant voltage or a constant value of the current maximum iman the equation:
EMI1.1
marked. In this equation: tJ means the time in which a current flows iman and tp the time in which the current is interrupted.
Since the equivalent mean current im of the chopped direct current by the equation
EMI1.2
is defined, the current m can be used as a measure for the pulse ratio VJ. This is usually also used in practice by including a well-damped moving-coil milliameter in the circuit, the display of which corresponds to the current value im and the scale of which can be calibrated as a percentage of the pulse ratio vj.
The number of pulses of the current can be determined with reed or pointer frequency meters of known design, but all previously known constructions and circuits have the disadvantage that they are generally not suitable or only to a limited extent for chopped direct current, the former only for small measuring ranges, the latter only for higher frequencies. The reason for this is primarily the influence of the higher harmonics that occur in the given case.
The subject of the invention is a circuit arrangement which allows any number of pulses of a current interrupted by a contact system to be precisely determined. Fig. 2 shows the basic arrangement of the device. The contact system K, which is connected to the circuit of a direct current source E, generates current pulses that pass through the primary winding of a transformer T.
EMI1.3
is a flow of an amount of electricity whose rms value Js the instrument V indicates. The instrument calibrated for specific amounts of electricity can thus be used for practical cases for the direct display of the number of pulses, such that a specific amount of electricity is assigned a specific number of pulses. This can be justified as follows.
The effective value Js depends on the maximum current strength tpm <in the primary circuit, since only the rise or fall of the current ip is secondary, on the number of pulses n and one
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Constants &, which represent a measure for the transfer and u. a. the transformation ratio and the inductance of the transformer and the sensitivity of the display instrument contain:
EMI2.1
Since ipsa: is kept constant by suitable means, the effective value Js of the secondary measured current forms a measure for the number of pulses n (Fig. 3).
In the range of practically occurring pulse ratios, the display is independent of these, since with a changed pulse ratio only the positive and negative half-waves of the alternating current is shift against each other, but the effective value Js remains constant.
The size of the inductance of the transformer is selected on the one hand so that the shape of the rise and fall of the contact current shown in FIG. 3 is no longer influenced by the contact conditions, i.e. by transmission resistance, contact pressure, etc., and on the other hand the rise and fall curves as well with limit values of the pulse ratio, i.e. with very short currents or Interruption times, still remain unchanged.
In the case of very unfavorable contact conditions, the primary winding can be influenced via a sensitive and quickly responding relay.
In practice, a combined measuring device is required to determine both the number of pulses and the pulse ratio of contacts. To set up such a combined measuring device, it is only necessary to arrange a switching element which enables the measuring device to be set to determine the number of pulses and to measure the pulse ratio.
In one position of the measuring element for determining the number of pulses, the circuit according to FIG. 2 is established, while in the second position for measuring the pulse ratio, the contact element K is applied directly to the measuring voltage E in series with the measuring element V.
