Verfahren zur Herstellung von Saecharaten.
Es ist bereits bekannt, Erdalkalisaecharate dadurch herzustellen, dass man Formaldehyd unter Einfluss von Licht bei Gegenwart von z. B. Kalkmilch polymerisiert ; durch Einwirkung von Kohlensäure wird aus den so erhaltenen Erdalkalisaccharaten der Zucker abgeschieden (deutsche Patentschrift Nr. 590236).
Die vorliegende Erfindung besteht nun im wesentlichen darin, die Polymerisation des Formaldehyds in Gegenwart von Äthylen durchzuführen. Das Äthylen wirkt auf das in Bildung begriffene Saceharat ein und entzieht ihm ein Molekül Wasser, so dass man ein wasserärmeres Caleiumsaceharat und Äthylalkohol erhält :

It is already known that Erdalkalisaecharate produce that formaldehyde under the influence of light in the presence of z. B. Lime milk polymerized; the effect of carbonic acid separates the sugar from the alkaline earth saccharates obtained in this way (German Patent No. 590236).
The present invention consists essentially in carrying out the polymerization of the formaldehyde in the presence of ethylene. The ethylene acts on the saceharate, which is in the process of being formed, and removes a molecule of water from it, so that a calorie saceharate and ethyl alcohol with less water is obtained:
