Description

Arrangement for balancing the air coils in multi-circuit receivers.

The present invention relates to the trimming of radio frequency coils. For the adjustment of self-inductions, especially in multi-circuit radio receivers, it is already known to
Influence of copper washers, which are more or less approximated to the self-inductance coils to be adjusted. The induction currents occurring in the copper disk counteract the magnetic field of the self-induction to a greater or lesser extent, so that a change in the self-inductance of a coil can be brought about by moving it. Moving copper disks, however, leads to additional losses, especially at high frequencies, which can be disruptive under certain circumstances.

According to the invention, the self-induction of air-core coils is adjusted by bringing a suitable ferromagnetic mass body. In the following, mass body is understood to mean extremely fine iron powder held together by a binding material. In practice, for example, bodies of this type are produced by applying the finely divided iron with the binding agent to a solid support. The regulation is expediently carried out in such a way that a disk produced in this way is more or less approximated to the coil to be adjusted. The
The advantage of such an arrangement is that - compared with the use of copper disks for adjustment - there are no attenuation phenomena.

When a copper disk was used as a balancing agent, with a 15% change in self-induction, the overall damping of the arrangement increased by about + 30%. When using a disc with finely divided iron for
As a result of the change in self-inductance, there was a decrease in total attenuation of -12%.
