Verfahren zum Sehränken der Späne bei der Herstellung von Buch- und Sehaehtelzündern.
Die Erfindung bezweckt den Wegfall von eingeschobenen Trennkörpern beim Schränken der Späne bei der Herstellung von Buch- und Schachtelzündern. Es ist bekannt, dies durch Anbringen von Querritzen an der Fussstelle der Späne zu erreichen (britische Patentschrift Nr. 394986). Erfindunggemäss wird dagegen das Zündkopfträgermaterial vor dem Schränken an der Fussstelle der Späne oder gänzlich durch Anfeuchten aufgequellt, wodurch die Späne eben auch bei mässiger Schränkung ohne Einschieben von Trennkörpern in einer genügend getrennten Lage verbleiben.
Gegebenenfalls kann dabei das Zündkopfträgermaterial vor dem Schränken oder während des Schränkens, wie bekannt, mit vorzugsweise beiderseitigen Querritzen, Kerben oder Querrillen versehen werden, die in bekannter Weise zur Erleichterung des Abtrennens beim Gebrauche dienen können.
Bei der Herstellung von Schachtelzündern ist das Aufquellen allein vorteilhafter, weil dann die Querritzen beim Abtrennen der Fussleisten nicht stören können. Das Verfahren ist auch bei der Verwendung von weniger bruchfesten Spänen aus minderem Holz mit Vorteil anwendbar.

The aim of the invention is to eliminate the need for inserted separators when setting the chips in the manufacture of book and box detonators. It is known to achieve this by making transverse scoring at the root of the chips (British Patent No. 394986). According to the invention, on the other hand, the ignition head carrier material is swollen at the base of the chips or completely by moistening before setting, whereby the chips remain in a sufficiently separated position even with moderate setting without inserting separating bodies.
If necessary, the firing head carrier material can be provided, as is known, with preferably bilateral transverse scores, notches or transverse grooves before setting or during setting, which can be used in a known manner to facilitate separation during use.
In the manufacture of box igniters, swelling alone is more advantageous because the transverse cracks cannot interfere with the separation of the baseboards. The method can also be used to advantage when using less break-resistant chips made from less wood.
