Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Verbindung der Ränder von Platten od. dgl. mit an sie anzuschliessendem Rahmen, Bügel od. dgl., insbesondere bei Gemüsehobeln, bei welcher die beiden Längsränder des Rahmens, Bügels od. dgl. eingerollt und die Plattenränder zwischen die beiden Einrollungen eingeschoben sind, und besteht darin, dass diese Plattenränder derart doppelt abgebogen sind, dass im wesentlichen T-förmige Profile entstehen, deren Flanschen von dem aufgeschobenen Bügel umfasst und senkrecht zur Bügel-bzw. Plattenrandrichtung unverrückbar festgehalten werden.
Dabei ist es gleichgültig ob die durch das doppelte Abbiegen der Ränder entstehenden, die Flanschen bildenden Teile aufeinander aufliegen oder hohl liegen, also einen hohlen Flansch bilden, wichtig ist die T-Form, durch welche das Anliegen der eingerollten Bügelränder an mehreren, einander gegenüberliegenden Stellen von Platte und Flanschen möglich wird.
Bei den bisher üblichen Ausführungen solcher Verbindungen wurden die Plattenränder in den Schlitz zwischen den beiden Einrollungen des Bügels lediglich einfach von der Seite eingeschoben und durch Verlöten an einzelnen Stellen mit demselben verbunden. Die dadurch erzielte Festigkeit der Verbindung war nur gering ; denn die Platten wurden von dem Bügel wegen der Verbindung nur an einzelnen Lötstellen nicht auf die ganze Länge erfasst. Durch das Löten wurden die Verbindungsstellen auch verschmiert, eine reine Arbeit war nicht möglich. Schliesslich waren die hergestellten Hobel nicht so lagerfähig.
Bei der Verbindung gemäss vorliegender Erfindung wird hingegen eine grosse Festigkeit erzielt, da der Bügel die Plattenränder längs ihrer ganzen Länge erfasst. Sie wird einfach durch Einschieben

Die Schneid-und Führungsplatte 1 ist an ihren beiden, mit dem Bügel 2 zu verbindenden Längsrändern derart zweimal umgebogen, dass senkrecht zur Plattenebene liegende Flansche 3 gebildet werden und T-Profile entstehen. Um diese Flanschen 3 wird beiderseits der in bekannter Weise durch Einrollen seiner Längsränder 4, 5 gebildete Bügel gelegt bzw. er wird auf die Flanschen aufgeschoben, wobei er sie mit den Einrollungen an fünf Stellen festhält, u. zw. an drei gegenüberliegenden Stellen der Flanschen und an zwei gegenüberliegenden Stellen der Platte 1. Dadurch ist die Platte gegenüber dem Bügel senkrecht zur Richtung des Bügels unverrückbar festgelegt.
Die Vereinigung von Bügel und Platte erfolgt einfach durch Einschieben der Plattenrandflanschen zwischen die Einrollungen des Bügels, wodurch ohne jedes weitere zusätzliche Mittel bereits die feste Verbindung der beiden Teile hergestellt ist.
Die erfindungsgemässe Verbindung ist nicht auf die Verwendung bei Gemüsehobeln beschränkt ; sie ist vielmehr überall anwendbar, wo die Ränder von Platten od. dgl. an Bügel mit eingerollten Rändern angeschlossen werden sollen.
