The invention relates to an attachment to a built-in double cylinder for its motor actuation.
It is often desired to be able to perform the lock to be carried out by means of a built-in double cylinder in connection with a lock, but this would previously have involved a great deal of effort.
The invention has set itself the goal of creating an attachment of the type mentioned that can be placed on a built-in double cylinder without any other changes having to be made.
This is achieved by an electric motor arranged in a motor housing, the output shaft of which is connected to a bevel gear which meshes with a second bevel gear attached to a drive shaft, the drive shaft being connectable to a key which interacts with the built-in double cylinder and the motor housing to one of the projecting part of the built-in double cylinder to be locked can be clamped.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the drive shaft is provided at one end with a slot for engaging the key for the built-in double cylinder, and at the other end, which protrudes from the motor housing, an actuating button is attached.
For easy mounting of the drive shaft, it is widened and mounted on its side provided with the slot, the mounting located inside the motor housing being screwed to an external fastening plate for clamping on the projecting part of the built-in double cylinder.
In this case, a part of the bearing which comprises the widened part of the driver shaft is expediently designed as a fastening angle for the electric motor.
The invention is described in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing, without being restricted to this example. 1 shows the partially sectioned view of an attachment according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows the top view of an attachment according to FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows the view of a fastening plate.

According to the drawings, in particular FIG. 1, a motor housing consists of a base plate 3 and an upper part 5 connected to it by means of screws 12. An electric motor 9 is arranged in the motor housing and a bevel gear 6 is attached to its output shaft. The bevel gear 6 meshes with a bevel gear 7 attached to a drive shaft 8. The drive shaft 8 is widened on one side and provided with a slot 8 ′ there. On the opposite side, an operating button 1 is clamped by means of a screw 13.
The widened part of the driver shaft 8 is supported by a bearing plate 4 and one leg of an engine mounting bracket 10.
The mounting plate 4, the motor mounting bracket 10 and a mounting plate 2 are connected to one another by means of screws 11. The fastening plate 2 is clamped by means of a screw 14 to a part of a built-in double cylinder EDZ projecting from the door T (indicated schematically).
The EDZ built-in double cylinder must protrude at least 15 mm from the inside of the door fitting so that the attachment with the mounting plate 2 can be clamped to the EDZ built-in double cylinder using the clamping screw 14. Before this, one of the keys is sawn off approx. 5 mm after the stop so that it can then engage in the slot 8 ′ of the driving shaft 8.
For doors in which a locking function with the key should still be required from the outside, EDZ built-in double cylinders are used, which can also be locked if a key is inserted on the opposite side. It can be opened from the inside at any time using the operating button 1, even if damage to the mechanics or electronics would occur. A clutch is not necessary in this case, since the motor can be moved with minimal additional effort.
The motor 9 is designed as a low-current geared motor, the rotation of which is transmitted to the drive shaft 8 via the two bevel gears 6 and 7, the locking process being carried out by the key located in the slot 8 ′ of the drive shaft 8.

The great advantage of the invention is particularly given in the case of fire doors which are to be automatically unlocked, since no changes or conversion work are required on the door and on the lock and the door therefore continues to comply with the regulations.
An attachment according to the invention can be controlled by microprocessors, whereby limit switches which are otherwise required can be dispensed with by measuring the current consumption of the motor.
