Schutzeinrichtung gegen Sonnenstrahlen bei Pneumatikrädern.
Der Apparat hat den Zweck, die Pneumatikreifen von Kraftfahrzeugen gegen die schädlichen Einwirkungen der Sonnenstrahlen, besonders beim längeren Stehen des Wagens auf der Strasse, zu schützen. Der Apparat besteht aus konischen, fächerartigen Teilen, welche an ihren unteren Enden mittels eines kleinen Zapfens (Niete) zusammengefügt sind, so dass sie sich fächerartig zu einem Rade entfalten können. Diese Teile können aus beliebigem Material, wie Aluminium, Stoff u. dgl., hergestellt werden. Dieser Apparat wird mittels Spiralfedern, deren eines Ende je auf dem obersten und untersten Fächerblatte befestigt und deren anderes Ende an dem Stiel des Apparates angebracht ist, zur selbsttätigen Entfaltung gebracht. Der Apparat wird in eine schachtelartige Hülse so eingebaut, dass sein
Stiel in seitlichen Einkerbungen der Hülse aus-und eingeschoben werden kann.
Beim Herausschieben des Apparates aus der Hülse wird er durch den Zug der Spiralfedern zur radförmigen Entfaltung gebracht, beim Zurückschieben in die Hülse wird er wieder zusammengefaltet. Die Hülse, in der sich der Apparat befindet, wird an dem Laufbrett bzw. Trittbrett des Wagens befestigt, u. zw. so, dass wenn der Apparat aus der Hülse geschoben wird und sich radartig entfaltet hat, das Pneumatikrad vollständig verdeckt wird und somit gegen die Einwirkung der Sonnenstrahlen geschützt ist.
Die Fig. 1 der Zeichnung zeigt den Apparat im zusammengefalteten Zustande. Auf dem ersten und letzten Blatte des Apparates ist je ein Ende a und b der Spiralfedern angebracht, die andern Enden sind an dem Stiel c befestigt. Diese Federn haben den Zweck, den Apparat beim Herausschieben aus der Hülse radartig zur Entfaltung zu bringen.
Die Fig. 2 zeigt den Apparat, wie er aus der Hülse d zum Teil herausgeschoben und etwas entfaltet ist. Das Herausschieben aus der Hülse wird dadurch ermöglicht, dass seitlich am Stiel ein kleiner Zapfen (Nase) e angebracht ist, welcher etwas aus dem seitlichen Schlitz der Hülse hervorsteht.
Wenn man den Apparat b wieder schliessen will, braucht man ihn nur an dem Zapfen (Nase) e zurück in die Hülse zu schieben. Die Fig. 3 zeigt den Apparat aus der Hülse d herausgezogen und vollkommen entfaltet. Die Fig. 4 zeigt den Apparat, wie er gebrauchsfertig mit seiner Hülse an dem Laufbrett (Trittbrett) g eines Kraftwagens angebracht und als Sonnenschutz für das Pneumatikrad aus seiner Hülse hervorgeschoben und zur vollkommenen radartigen Entfaltung gebracht ist. Die praktische Verwendung dieses Pheumatik-Sonnenschutz-Apparates ist so gedacht, dass zwei Apparate auf jedem Laufbrett (Trittbrett) angebracht sind, so dass alle vier Räder durch je einen Apparat gegen Sonnenstrahlen geschützt werden können. Bei Nichtgebrauch der Apparate werden diese einfach in die Hülsen zurückgeschoben.
Die Fig. 5 zeigt den zusammengefalteten Apparat h mit offener Seitenwand der Hülse d.

The purpose of the device is to protect the pneumatic tires of motor vehicles against the harmful effects of the sun's rays, especially when the vehicle is parked on the street for a long time. The device consists of conical, fan-like parts, which are joined together at their lower ends by means of a small peg (rivet) so that they can unfold like a fan to form a wheel. These parts can be made of any material, such as aluminum, fabric and the like. Like., are produced. This device is made to unfold automatically by means of spiral springs, one end of which is attached to the top and bottom fan leaves and the other end of which is attached to the handle of the device. When the device is pushed out of the sleeve, the tension of the coil springs causes it to unfold in the shape of a wheel; when pushed back into the sleeve, it is folded up again. The sleeve in which the apparatus is located is attached to the running board or footboard of the car, u. so that when the device is pushed out of the sleeve and has unfolded like a wheel, the pneumatic wheel is completely covered and is thus protected against the effects of the sun's rays.
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows the apparatus in the folded state. One end a and one b of the spiral springs are attached to the first and last leaves of the apparatus, the other ends are attached to the handle c. The purpose of these springs is to unfold the device like a wheel when it is pushed out of the sleeve.
Fig. 2 shows the apparatus as it is partially pushed out of the sleeve d and somewhat unfolded. Pushing out of the sleeve is made possible by the fact that a small pin (nose) e is attached to the side of the handle, which protrudes somewhat from the side slot of the sleeve.
If you want to close the device b again, you only need to push it back into the sleeve on the pin (nose) e. Fig. 3 shows the apparatus pulled out of the sleeve d and completely unfolded. 4 shows the apparatus as it is attached ready for use with its sleeve on the running board (footboard) g of a motor vehicle and pushed out of its sleeve as sun protection for the pneumatic wheel and brought to complete wheel-like development. The practical use of this pheumatic sun protection device is conceived in such a way that two devices are attached to each running board (footboard) so that all four wheels can be protected against the sun's rays by one device each. When the devices are not in use, they are simply pushed back into the sleeves.
