Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

  Verfahren zur Herstellung oligodynamisch wirkender Cellulosefilme.
 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   When tested in plate cultures, these new types of film-like foils showed beautiful oligodynic halos. Accordingly, special therapeutic effects were achieved with these new types of silver cellophane films.

   Since the thin silver foil previously used in surgery is extremely sensitive to mechanical damage and therefore easy to tear, the new silver hydrate foils, which can be stressed considerably against tension and pressure but are used in a moist state, are extremely therapeutic and technical progress. Apart from this, the expensive silver foil can be replaced by a material that can be produced cheaply, which appears to achieve a special effect.

   Example 1: Silver is deposited onto commercially available cellophane by a reduction method known per se (for example from ammoniacal silver solution with grape sugar). Depending on the duration and amount of the action of the substances used for the impregnation, blackish or silver-gray products are obtained when viewed from above, and yellowish to brownish-red when viewed through.

   Example 2. Commercially available cellophane is treated with a silver solution (for example an aqueous silver nitrate solution) for a long time, and chlorine ions are then brought into action on the material thus pretreated. The sequence of action can also be reversed.

  In this way, initially colorless silver chloride cellphone is obtained, which turns blue-violet in the light.

   Instead of the known film-like cellulose hydrate films, similarly applicable film-like materials, for example made of cellulose compounds, such as. B. Cellon, use.

   Instead of impregnating the finished film in the manner described, it is also possible to add oligodynamically acting substances during the manufacturing process or to carry out the impregnation process in the course of manufacture.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A process for the production of oligodynamically acting cellulose films, characterized in that cellulose films, such as cellophane, cellon, are interspersed in their mass with oligodynamically acting metals or metal compounds and this is thereby fixed in a durable manner.
