Es ist bekannt, Wärmeaustauscher zwischen Gas und Wasser so zu bauen, dass einzelne Gruppen von Rippenrohren nacheinander vom heissen Gasstrom durchflossen werden (Fig. 1). Die Rippen auf jedem Rippenrohr haben voneinander denselben Abstand, hingegen kann die Zahl der Rippen auf jedem Rohr der einzelnen Gruppen verschieden sein. Trifft dieser Gasstrom den vorerwähnten Heizkörper, so werden besonders die mittleren Rippen der ersten Rippenrohrgruppe durch die grössere Wärmemenge stärker belastet als die seitlichen Rippen, welche ungleiche Wärmeverteilung zu einer vorzeitigen Zerstörung der mittleren Rippen führt.
Zweck der Erfindung ist es, durch eine besondere Austeilung der Rippen in den von den Heizgasen zuerst getroffenen Rippenrohrgruppen dem Gasstrom im ganzen Strömungsquerschnitt eine gleich grosse Geschwindigkeit zu erteilen und dadurch sämtliche Rippen einer Rohrgruppe gleichmässig zu belasten.
