Druckluftbremse.

Der Hilfsbehälter bleibt also immer geladen.
EMI2.1
was in Anbetracht ihres geringen Inhaltes nur wenige Sekunden dauert.

Air brake.
The invention relates to a compressed air brake for railways and motor vehicles with only one control valve that automatically comes into action in the known manner when the train is disconnected and that provides the full graduated braking and releasing control valve and consists in the fact that the auxiliary container remains blocked from the main line during all phases of braking and is constantly kept at the main tank pressure by the compressor.
Although compressed air brakes have become known in which the auxiliary container is also not charged from the main line, these types of construction have certain disadvantages which the present invention aims to avoid. In some of these types, the auxiliary container is only connected to the main container via a special line during the release process, which has the disadvantage that it cannot be replenished by the compressor or the main container during the braking process and can therefore be exhausted.
In other constructions, the auxiliary container is in constant communication with the main container, but the auxiliary container of the brake is connected to the main line via the filling groove of the pneumatic control valve during the release process. In addition, in these designs the actual pneumatic control valve only allows full braking and full solutions, while special electrically controlled brake and release valves are provided for the graduated braking and releasing.
This type of construction is therefore quite complicated, apart from the fact that the said brake is not suitable for vehicles in which there is no electrical power available.
The drawing shows a schematic representation of an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
The compressor K of the motor vehicle T feeds the feed line Ls via the line I, which is connected to the feed line of the trailer A by means of connecting couplings Ku with check valves. Is it z. B. to railcars that run without a trailer, the line Ls can of course be omitted without changing the inventive concept.
The compressed air flows from the feed line via 2 and 3 directly or via a check valve, which is not shown for the sake of simplicity, into the auxiliary container B and from there via 4 to the valve 9 of the control valve St of a known type. The brake lines L of the individual vehicles are connected to one another by clutches Ku and connected to the control valves St by lines 5. The brake line L is charged by the driver in a known manner, the compressed air coming via 5 pushing the pistons 6 and 8, which are connected to one another by a rod 7 sealed in the housing, downwards and filling the control chamber 11 in a known manner via a groove, check valve or the like . The brake cylinder z remains temporarily vented via the bore 12 in the piston 8 and the opening 10. The valve 9 is closed.
If braking is to take place, the pressure in the line L is lowered in a known manner, whereupon the piston system 6, 8 moves upwards under the action of the pressure in the control chamber 11, closes the bore 12 by placing it on the lower part of the valve 9 and then this valve lifts itself so that compressed air can flow from the auxiliary container B into the cylinder Z until the effect of the brake cylinder pressure acting on the piston 8 pushes the system 6, 8, 9 downwards until the valve 9 can close again. As is known, this process can be repeated as often as desired, in which case a control valve according to Austrian patent no. 133222 can be used to prevent the maximum permissible pressure in the brake cylinder from being exceeded.

The air taken from the container B for braking is immediately replaced by the compressor K. The same also applies when the control valve St automatically draws air from the auxiliary container B in a known manner to compensate for leaks in the brake cylinder. The auxiliary container therefore always remains loaded.
EMI2.1
which, given its small content, only takes a few seconds. The system 6, 8 is lowered and the air from the brake cylinder escapes immediately via the bore 12 and the opening 10
