Sieherheitseinriehtung an Gasbrennern.
(Fig. 1 und 3).

Safety device on gas burners.
The invention relates to a safety device on gas burners to prevent unintentional leakage of unburned gas, in which a control device which can be influenced by a thermostat associated with an auxiliary flame is provided behind the main tap.
According to the invention, the feed line to the burner and the feed line branched off from the main stem to the auxiliary flame is controlled by a common control element, e.g. B. a double tap, which is coupled to both a handle and the thermostat such that when the handle is operated, the supply line to the auxiliary flame is opened and after the auxiliary flame is ignited, the supply line to the main flame is opened by the thermostat or when both are extinguished Flames the supply lines are closed. This ensures that, in spite of the fact that the main valve is open to start the burner, no gas can escape as long as the handle is not actuated and the supply lines are only opened if the auxiliary flame is ignited or is prevented from going out .
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment.
1 shows a longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a plan view with the cover lifted off, FIG. 3 shows a longitudinal section through the control device; FIGS. 4 to 6 show sections along the lines IV-IV, V-V, VI-VI of FIG. 3; 7 and 8 show sections along the line VII-VII and VIII-VIII of FIG. 2; 9 shows an end view of the control device with the cover removed.
A pipe section 1 ′, which protrudes from a valve body 3, is inserted in a connection 1 of the main gas line 2. (Figures 1 and 3). A bore 4 adjoins the pipe section 7, which leads to the nozzle 6 of the burner 7 via the main tap 5 of the gas appliance. A hole 8 branches off from the main tap,

Valve body 3 has a double tap 11 which passes through the bores 4 and 10 and has passage openings 12, 1.3. A lever 15 acting at an angle is attached to the plug of the double tap by means of a screw 14 (FIGS. 3 and 5). with a contact surface 76 arranged at the free end
EMI1.2
Double tap is displaceable and protrudes from the valve body with a push button 18.
In the inner end, the sliding piece carries a hook 19 and a bolt which forms the seat of a helical spring 20 which is supported against a plate 21 carrying the valve body (FIGS. 2 and 6) and the sliding piece up to the stop of the hook 19 against a Deek plate 22 presses. The chick 11 carries a lever 2: 3, 24 at each end, of which the lever 23 engages around one end of a two-armed lever 27 by means of adjusting screws 26 arranged in lateral lugs 25. The lever 2 '/ is passed through the plate 27 and is mounted at 28 on a part 29 which carries the nozzle 9 and is attached to the valve body * j.
A bimetal spring 30 fastened to part 29 is connected with its rolled-up end to the free end of lever 27 in a hinge-like manner. A Blechmalltel: n serves as protection against external influences.
The lever 24 also carries lateral lugs with adjusting screws 26 ', which grip around the edge of a U-shaped cut-out plate. A coil spring 33 arranged in the cutout of the plate engages on the one hand on the plate at 37 and on the other hand is attached to an eyelet of a screw bolt 33 which protrudes through a slot in the plate and at the free end one with a cutting edge

the protruding flanges of which extend through corresponding guide slots in the plate 21. The edges of the legs associated with the plate 21 are formed into a cutting edge 39 (FIGS. 2 and 7) which lies in a wedge-shaped pan 40.
If the double tap H is in the closed position, the plate 32 assumes the inclined position shown in phantom in FIG. The entire control device is surrounded by a housing 41.
To start up the burner, the main tap is opened, which, however, prevents gas from escaping because the feed lines to the main burner and to the auxiliary burner are closed off by the double tap 11. When the push button 18 is actuated, as a result of the action of the contact surface 16 on the lever 15, the plug of the double tap is turned so that gas can reach the auxiliary burner.
The levers 23 and 24 take part in this small pivoting movement, the lower screw 26 of the lever 23 being applied to the underside of the lever 27, but without adjusting the same. If the auxiliary flame is ignited, the bimetallic spring is tensioned as a result of its heating, whereby the lever 27 is pivoted, first see again on the upper screw 26 of the lever 23, then takes the lever 2. 3 with it until the plate 32 slightly over the in Fig. 7 fully drawn central position arrives. The spring 33 tensioned during the pivoting movement of the plate 32 pulls the same into the position shown in FIG. 8, whereby the supply line to the main burner is completely opened. The gas escaping from the main burner is ignited by the auxiliary flame.
During the pivoting movement of the plate 32 from the position according to FIG. 7 to that according to FIG. 8, the lower screw 26 of the lever 23 rests against the lever 27 so that there is no reaction on the bimetallic spring. The gas supply to the main burner can be regulated in the usual way by means of the main tap 5.
If the flame of the main burner goes out, the escaping gas immediately ignites again at the auxiliary flame. If this also goes out, the bimetallic spring loses its tension, so that the lever 27, the underside of which lies against the lower screw 26 of the lever 23, pivots the same, with the plate. 32 under tension of the spring 3. 3 from the position according to FIG. the spring 33 executes a rapid rotary movement with relaxation into the position shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 7 and, in doing so, the plug 11 via the screws 26 'into the closing

the thermostat takes place. A new start-up of the device can only be carried out after pressing the push button 18 and igniting the auxiliary flame.
The range of the rotary movement can be set precisely with the adjusting screws 26. The adjusting screws 26 'are used to adjust the chick loaf.
