EIcktrodeMhalter iir Schmelzschweissung.

Angled electrode holder for fusion welding.
The invention relates to an electrode holder for fusion welding, in which a clamping bolt holds the electrode in a clamping head. According to the invention, the clamping head, which has a bore with an egg-shaped cross-section for receiving the electrode, is provided with an extension surrounding the clamping bolt for insertion into a recess of the electrode holder, in which the extension is supported by an easily replaceable pin that does not hinder the movement of the pressure bolt , e.g. B. a bow pin is held. This pin also absorbs the forces exerted on the clamping head via the pressure bolt.
The simple design of the clamping head and its fastening in the electrode holder enables it to be changed frequently and easily. Charring of the clamping head caused by the proximity of the arc can therefore be safely accepted, so that the electrode material is almost completely utilized. At the same time, a good electrical contact between the electrode and the holder appears to be given by the fact that the bore of the clamping head is in the position of steel holders of lathes and the like. Like. Known way has egg-shaped cross section.

Cross-section through the clamping head. The electrode 3 is pressed by the bolt 9 into the wedge-shaped part of the bore 4 of the clamping head 5, a contact effect being produced at three points.
The clamping head 5 is pushed with the neck 6 into a recess in the guide tube 7 and fastened with a bow pin 8. The pin can be removed quickly and easily, whereupon the clamping head can be pulled out of the guide tube 7 or, with the holder held downwards, can be made to fall off by tapping it lightly.
The bolt 9 extends into the rear part of the guide tube 7 and has a slot 17 in which an extension 18 of the angle lever 10 engages. The angle lever 10 is rotatably mounted about the bolt 11 and ends in a handle 19 which is covered with insulating material. The worker grips this handle while the device is in operation, so that the pressure moves the attachment 18 forward and thereby simultaneously the bolt 9 is pressed against the electrode pin 3.
Even a very low pressure is sufficient to hold the electrode pin 3 securely in the wedge-shaped part of the bore -1, even if the electrode is very heavy.
EMI1.2
on the other hand, it is extended to a handle 12 with insulation 13 and cable connector 14.
