Melting kettle for machines for casting stereotype plates and back casting of electroplants.
The invention relates to a metal discharge tap arranged in melting tanks for machines for casting stereotype plates and back-casting of galvanos, which is also used for separating the cast
Plate from the boiler contents is used. According to the invention, the two-way cock now allows
Metal drain valve, which in its open position allows the molten metal to flow into the casting mold, and in its closed position allows the sprue piece that has been cut from the edge of the cast plate and remaining in the valve plug to be pushed out.
With this cock plug design, due to the fact that the piece of metal cut off from the plate edge is no longer returned to the boiler or into a hot melting zone, the advantage is achieved that the cock plug can be stored further from the boiler, while at the same time the pouring mouth less heat releases to the mold. The cast stereotype plate is obtained completely sprueless and ready for printing, as in previous casting machines with a casting mold that can be attached to the melting pot, so that any post-processing of the plate can be omitted.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown, for example, u. Between: FIG. 1 shows a central section through the melting kettle and the cock plug in the casting position (open position), FIG. 2 shows a section similar to FIG. 1 with the cock plug in the position for pushing out the sprue, and FIG. 3 shows a corresponding section through a cock chick and the adjoining
Melting boiler parts as they have been carried out so far.
The cock plug a was previously moved so far into the melting pot b (Fig. 3) that by closing the piece of metal cut from the plate edge was returned to the middle of the molten metal and immediately melted there.
In contrast to this, in the cock plug a designed as a two-way cock, a central passage opening c is provided which, in the open position according to FIG. 1, establishes the connection between the boiler contents and the casting mold d, and in the closed position according to FIG Line with two openings e, f of the plug housing lies so that the piece of metal remaining in the turned cock plug a can be pushed out by means of a slide g. The slide g can be moved forwards and backwards by swiveling a two-armed lever h by hand, foot or mechanically.
The metal pieces i pushed out fall into a box k attached to the casting core.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Melting tank for machines for pouring stereotype plates and back-pouring of galvanos, in which the cast stereotype plate is separated from the tank contents by the metal outlet tap, characterized in that the metal outlet tap is designed as a two-way tap (a) which, in its open position, allows the seamelmetal to flow in into the casting mold (d) and in its second, the closed position (Fig. 2), the ejection of the sprue (i) that has been cut off from the edge of the cast plate and remaining in the faucet by means of an ejector (g) which penetrates this second faucet path allowed.
