DC generator for constant current.
The parent patent relates to a direct current generator with two parallel-connected, oppositely magnetizing main currents that have different self-inductions. The effect achieved with this arrangement is explained in detail at the beginning of the description of the parent patent. At the same time, it is indicated how this requirement can be implemented particularly easily. According to the present additional invention, further possibilities are indicated in which way the effect of the difference in the self-induction of the main current windings can be achieved or increased.
The subject of the invention is a direct current generator for constant current with a shunt excitation winding and two opposing main current windings, in which damper windings are arranged on the main poles and resistors in such a way that the main current windings, magnetizing in the sense of the shunt excitation winding, show a behavior with respect to free current oscillations that is an increased one Self-induction of the main current windings is equivalent.
If, in a direct current generator with main current exciter windings connected in parallel, the poles that are provided with the magnetizing main current windings are equipped with damper windings, then when a short circuit occurs, a field change occurs predominantly in the poles with counter-magnetizing main current windings, which results in a very strong reduction in the current peak. The dampers are therefore able to replace the inductor E mentioned in the main patent. This not only makes switching and wiring within the machine simpler, but also makes the machine lighter because the separate choke coils can be omitted.
If a particularly strong effect is to be achieved, it can under certain circumstances be advantageous to use both measures, that is to say choke coils and damper windings, at the same time.
It is also easily possible to use the series connection of the main current windings instead of the parallel connection of the main current windings. This arrangement achieves the advantage that there is no need to adjust the ohmic resistances of the opposing main current windings and, as a result, any resistance apparatuses provided for this purpose.
EMI1.1
is provided with the damper winding k. Parallel to the magnetizing main current winding Ca is the ohmic resistance m, through which, when the damper winding k comes into effect, the change current takes its detour.
The arrangement shown in the figure represents only one example for which the two-pole machine was chosen for simplification. The invention can of course also be used in a corresponding manner on multipole machines.
