The invention relates to the packaging of bathing u. like sponges (rubber and similar
Sponges) or similar porous and resilient bodies; and the invention consists in that the sponges or the like with pores closed by compression, suitably in a transparent material, are packaged in order to protect against the harmful effects of air and light, dust and the like. The like. On the one hand i by reducing the air content and on the other hand by closing the pores to a minimum and also to enable the incorporation of substances into the body to be packaged.
Preferably, cellophane is used for the packaging, which can be easily connected by gluing, a pleasing appearance of the package and viewing of the packaged object, as well as a tight one
Completion of the same guaranteed.
Such a packaging according to the invention will reduce the harmful
The influence of light, air and dust also results in a significant reduction in the packing and shipping volume of the goods to be packaged, whereby the influence of light can be further reduced by the fact that the packaging material, such as cellophane, is appropriately colored in a known manner, brown or similar Like. So that the harmful light rays are kept as far as possible from the packaged goods without the pack itself losing its transparency.-The sponges packaged in this way and the like. Incorporated aseptics or the like remain effective until they are used, since their volatilization is almost completely inhibited due to the extremely strong reduction in surface area and the tightness of the casing.
The invention also relates to a method and a device for carrying out the packaging according to the invention. The new packaging method consists in that the sponge od. The like. Best of the narrower front or side surfaces of the z. B. brick-shaped rubber sponge by means of rods placed in the middle of the same or the like. To a more or less roll-shaped
Body, suitably compressed to prevent bulging and packed in this state.
The drawing shows an embodiment of a device for carrying out the method; u. Between Fig. 1 shows the device in elevation and Fig. 2 in plan view.
The device shown consists essentially of a plate 1 on which the rubber sponge or the like. B. a rubber sponge in the form of a block or brick 2, is inserted between two steel rods 3 of about 3-5 mm in diameter, which od in two lateral guide carriages. Like. 4 are arranged or inserted so that they are in the middle of Head sides or short side surfaces of the sponge tile 2 lie.
These carriages 4, guided on the base plate, are brought closer to one another by levers 5, ss, 7 up to a certain distance so that they reach the position 3 ', 3' and thereby compress the sponge piece so that it has the shape of a Role or the like 2 'assumes by the
Place the edges of the head sides around the rods 3 and close, with the sponge piece from bulging out being prevented by appropriate guide surfaces. In this position, the rods 3 and 3 'are held by bolts or the like 8, which are each rotatably attached to the end of one rod and engage like a hook at the end of the other rod, so that the sponge roller is now out of the device can be taken and wrapped in a sheet of cellophane.
The overlapping end of the cellophane sheet is then glued in place with a suitable material and allowed to dry for the required short time, after which the steel rods can be pulled out. Eventually the protruding
