of cellulose acetate or other cellulose esters or cellulose ethers or mixtures of such cellulose derivatives, which consists in the fact that the starting materials are in the form of highly concentrated, dough-like solutions or masses that are difficult to flow or non-flowing at ordinary temperature, which contain at least about 30% cellulose derivative and optionally plasticizers contained, squeezes out under high pressure through nozzles with annular outlet openings. To produce hollow structures, air or another gas is fed into the interior of the structure emerging from the nozzle through one or more bores made within this annular nozzle opening.
Instead of this, you can pull through these holes during the pressing out of the highly concentrated masses of textile threads, metal wires or the like. In this way you can get structures of great tensile strength that have a z. B. have textile threads existing insert (soul).
In a further development of the process described, it has now been found that particularly supple structures can be obtained by forming the structures from highly concentrated dough-like solutions or masses that are difficult to flow or non-flowing at ordinary temperature, which in addition to at least about 30% cellulose derivatives are so large Content of plasticizers have that the finished structures contain at least about 28%, suitably about 30-50% or more plasticizers.

agents according to the present invention under high pressure, for example a pressure of up to 300 atm. or more, expediently in the heat, through nozzles which have an annular outlet opening for the solution or mass. Depending on the structure to be produced, air or other gases are fed in through bores made within the annular nozzle orifice in order to remove hollow fibers, tubes and the like. Like. To win, or z. Bores pulled through while the mass is being pressed out, as a result of which the structures inside are provided with an insert, for example made of textile threads. If the hole nozzles or slot nozzles commonly used in the rayon industry are used instead of the ring nozzles mentioned, then solid threads of any denier, in particular artificial horsehair, fine ribbons and the like, can also be used from the solutions or masses with a high plasticizer content to be used according to the invention. Like. Are produced from high flexibility.
Tests have shown that the high softener content to be used in the present invention is particularly advantageous when the structures, for example horsehair, ribbons, tubes, etc., are braided into braids, for example braids or points, on the usual braiding machines.

should be working. It has been observed that structures of this type, which contain no or too little, for example only up to 25% plasticizer, may break or only result in so-called prickly braids, despite the relatively good tensile strength when braiding on the machines mentioned.
However, if the plasticizer content of the structures is increased to around 28% or even higher, for example to 40-50% and more, then the extensibility and elasticity of the structures increase significantly. This has the significant advantage that these materials, which have a high plasticizer content, are weaker but more elastic, can be used on braiding machines or on other textile machines

Products, e.g. B. strands, tips and. Like. Be obtained. Furthermore, it has been found that the thread-like structures with the high plasticizer content according to the invention can be knotted or connected easily and effectively in the manner customary in the textile industry.
To carry out the method according to the present invention, for example, a paste-like mass can be used, which is composed approximately as follows: 39% cellulose acetate, 30% volatile solvents, and 31% of a softener mixture, one third each of triacetin, triphenyl and tricresyl phosphate consists. This mass can be made from the quantities of its constituents mentioned; However, it is also advantageous to use an excess of volatile solvents or solvent mixtures to dissolve the cellulose acetate, in such a way that a readily filterable solution is produced which, after filtering, is thickened to the specified composition.
