Gas-Pressluftbrenner.

Gas compressed air burner.
The invention relates to a gas compressed air burner for drying systems of all kinds, for preheating vessels and containers, for depressing barrels, etc. and consists in that except
EMI1.1
If the burner is used for purposes in which a direct flame is inappropriate, the combustion chamber is dimensioned according to the invention in such a way that the correspondingly regulated flame does not emerge from it, but only generates hot combustion gases, which are then used for preheating, drying, deposition, etc. will.
In the existing devices, e.g. B. for depressurizing barrels, there are the disadvantages that they often fail, that local explosions occur and that unburned gas gives rise to symptoms of poisoning among the workers. Devices have also become known in which the gas nozzle is supplied with a secondary air stream, but only for the purpose of supplying additional air as required and being able to adapt to the different qualities of the oil, while the devices according to the invention are to a certain extent around automatic safety valves.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment and shows FIG. 1 a view and FIG. 2 a plan view, both partially in section.
The compressed air gas burner consists of the gas supply pipe 1 with regulating tap 2, the compressed air supply pipe 3 with regulating tap 4 and the secondary compressed air line 5 with regulating tap 6.
In the pipe 3 of the compressed air supply there is a nozzle 7 for mixing and suction. However, pre-compressed gas can also be used, which means that the nozzle is not required. Before the gas enters the combustion chamber 9, there is a burner head insert made of chamotte or the like. 8. The combustion chamber 9 is expediently lined with chamotte and, for the purpose of easy replacement, is the same with screws 10, which also connect to the feet 15 with connected to the flange 11 of the burner line. In the flange 11 there are openings 12, opposite which the additional compressed air nozzles 13 are arranged. These nozzles are connected to the additional compressed air line 5 through the ring line 14.
As can be seen from the drawing, the gas-air mixture is burned in the combustion chamber 9 and the hot combustion gases (or the flame) exit through a main opening located above. In front of the air cock, a secondary compressed air line branches off to a plurality of air nozzles 18 which are opposite the secondary openings 12. The air jets arising at these nozzles generate a dynamic pressure at the secondary openings 12 which is equal to or slightly greater than the internal pressure in the combustion chamber. If the main outlet opening is caused by an excess pressure (e.g.
B. when slipping over a barrel or the like.) Locked or throttled, the internal pressure increases via the back pressure at the nozzles 13, and the combustion gases emerge at the secondary openings 12, whereby the gas air burner is secured from going out,
