Washing device for laundry.
The washing of the laundry by means of the device according to the invention is carried out in a simple manner in that two plates alternately depress the laundry in different directions, the plates moving along the inclined sides of a trough of triangular cross-section.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the device is shown in FIG. 1 in vertical section, in FIG. 2 in side view and in FIG. 3 in view from above; Fig. 4 shows one of the plates by means of which the pressure is exerted on the laundry.
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3, levers 2 and 3 are attached to an axis 1, which are connected at their ends 4 and 5 to rods 6, 7 by joints. Plates 8, 9 provided with holes 10 are attached to the rods 6, 7. To operate the device, handles 11 are provided, which are attached to levers also carried by the axis 1. To guide the plates 8, 9, guides 12 can be provided on the sides of the trough 13.
In order to be able to make do with the smallest possible amount of lye for washing, the length of the rods 6, 7 is made adjustable so that the ends of the plates 8, 9 facing each other, when they are at the same height, are very close pass each other.
