stattfinden.

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

Remote control and remote monitoring system.
EMI1.1
takes place and the selection setting required for the required control or message is identified by changing the pulse sequence. The invention aims to shorten the transmission times of the processes to be transmitted and, at the same time, to reduce the number of steps of the synchronously controlled selector elements when several processes, in particular of different types or groups, are to be transmitted within an entire control process. Such an arrangement can preferably be used for the transmission of remote control or reporting processes in power plant operations.
Known remote control systems, in which also synchronously controlled selection devices are used by pulses, are set up in such a way that several individual processes that are necessary to carry out a remote control are transmitted by the same identifier in the pulse trains. As a result, there are several pulse sequences associated with the individual processes of a correspondingly long period of time, which are strung together when the dialing element expires. This is e.g. B. the case when there are several control groups and one or more organs are to be controlled in a control group, initially a selection of the control group and then a selection of the organs to be controlled takes place. The same applies to the transmission of controls of different senses, e.g.
B. of switch positions "On" or "Off", with known systems for each position of each switch a special step is provided in the pulse sequence or in the selection elements, so that a total of a pulse sequence results that a sequence for the position "On" and a sequence for the "Off" position according to the number of switches. In known arrangements, longer pauses are inserted at the corresponding points in the pulse sequence to identify selection positions for the control or message required in each case.
An arrangement is also known in which, to identify the selection position, a current reversal takes place at the relevant point in the pulse sequence.
EMI1.2
Controllable units that work in the above-mentioned manner, in particular in the case of widely ramified systems, consequently result in relatively large time losses in the transmission of remote control or reporting processes.
According to the invention, a greater transmission speed and at the same time a

individual selection positions of the selector elements achieved by the pulse train, identifiers of various control or reporting processes, in particular of processes of different types or groups, can be transmitted within an entire control process.
The pulse sequence or the number of steps of the selection organs therefore only needs to be measured for the process of a type or grouping, and it can be during the execution of the pulse sequence or the selection organs in a period that is strong compared to the arrangement of one pulse sequence for each type of control is shortened. several processes are transferred. It is useful to measure the

is effected via the voter arms HZ 1 or HUI, while the selection of the control group or the sub-center takes place via the voter arms HZIII or HUIII.
In detail, the circuit and current flow during the transmission of the control processes is as follows:
Assuming that the switch No. 2 in the sub-center is to be controlled in the position #ein ". The group key GT4 assigned to the sub-center UZ is pressed, and relay A picks up via the selector arm HZII in its zero position, which closes its contact a1 and this causes relay J (winding 1) to pick up.
The latter closes the excitation circuit of the continuation magnet DHZ of the step selector via i6, which applies voltage to the relay JH via the contact actuated when the incremental magnet is activated, whereupon this interrupts the excitation circuit of the relay J again at ih1,
EMI3.1
continues to be automatically updated in the same way. When relay A picks up, contact a2 is closed, so that relay A continues to hold when the zero position is left and steps 1-25 are exceeded; at the same time, relay P is energized, which remains energized due to its drop-out delay during normal stepping of relays J and JH.
In position 2 of the selector, when the relay J is energized, a holding circuit for the latter is activated via contact p.
EMI3.2
g, 3, BT2 position "on", HZI position 2, p, i3, J winding 11, battery, earth. (As can be seen from the drawing, a holding circuit for the relay G4 runs via series-connected normally closed contacts of the other group relays, so that only one group relay can be switched on, i.e. one substation can be controlled.
A similar arrangement is foreseen in the substations. ) The progressive
EMI3.3
Neten contacts i4 and ih2 has dropped, whereupon the aforementioned holding circuit is interrupted again via the winding 11 of the relay J and the progression of the selector is continued.
During the excitation times of the relay J, an alternating current pulse is sent from the power source 17s to the sub-center by switching the contacts ti. The impulse of position 2 of the selector is characterized by a particular length due to the delay time of relay J caused by relay P. In position 4 of the selector, which corresponds to the sub-center UZ as the control group, a holding circuit for the relay JH is closed via the selector arm HZIII, since the delaying relay VK has also picked up its armature or closed its contact vk at the beginning of the pulse series via i5: Earth, HZIII position 4, g42, vk, ih3, JH, battery, earth.
As a result, the relay JH causing the excitation of J is only de-energized again when the relay VK has dropped out with a delay (i5) and thus the contact vk is opened again. During this time, a correspondingly long power pause has been inserted into the pulse series, which means the indicator for the control group, in this case for the sub-center UZ. However, it can also be used in such a way that a long pulse serves as a group identifier and a long pause as an identifier for the controlling switching element. In particular, the case must be considered that the steering group and the body to be steered correspond to the same electoral position.
In the example it is assumed that in position 4 of the selector, in the same way as in the previous discussion, a corresponding switch is to be switched to position #on ". Since relay J picks up before relay JH, the holding circuit for the relay J is closed via its winding 11 and a long pulse is sent during the release time of the relay P. During this time the delayed relay VK via i5 and also the relay JH remain energized. After the relay J has released, further excitation of the same is caused by the release of the relay JH and thereby prevents the selector from being switched on by the fact that the relay JH remains energized on the above-mentioned path via vk and ih3.
Only after the delayed relay VK has dropped, the voter can continue to be held in the usual manner, so that the two indicators for switching on switch no. 4 and selecting the sub-center VZ can be made in the same dial position without any problems.
The incoming pulses in the sub-center excite the line relay Hu and, via its contact hu, the control relay JR and the delaying relay V. The relay JR controls the stepping magnet DHU via ir3, so that the receiving selector HU is switched forward according to the pulses. The relay PR is also energized via v, and ir, and remains due to its dropout delay during the short pulses.
In position 2, in which an impulse of longer duration is sent to switch on switch no.2, the PR relay drops out as a result of a longer interruption at ir1, so that the following circuit causes relay N2 to be excited: Earth, ir2, pr, HU 1 position 2, N2 winding 1, battery, earth. A self-holding circuit is closed via the contact n21, while the activation of the organ to be controlled is indicated by the contact 1122. In the same way, relay M2, which is connected to contact position 11, is used to switch off organ no. 2. In position 4 of the
EMI3.4

occur.
When the selector HU returns to the zero position, the self-holding circuits of all control relays M and N and group relays G are interrupted, so that the entire control circuit is again in the rest position.
6 shows a remote control system in which the reversal of the current direction is used for one type of message and a pulse pause is used for the other type of message. The "on" and "off" positions of the organs to be switched correspond to the various types of messages. In the left part of the figure the essential circuit part of the control center is shown again, in the right part that of the sub control center, and it is assumed that control only takes place between these two stations, that is to say that there is no group control. The same designations have been chosen for the circuit elements corresponding to the previous example.
In contrast to the previous example, each organ to be controlled is assigned only one selector position, and it is assumed that organ no. 2 is to be switched on and organ no. 15 is to be switched off, as indicated by the corresponding positions of the command buttons BT: When Pressing the start button AT, which of course can also be a group button if several groups are to be controlled, a relay A is energized, as in the previous example, which again causes a current to flow through the pulse relay J, so that the step magnet DHZ the selector from the zero position to position 1 and then, as already described, is switched on. In position 2 the relay R is energized: earth, al, HZI position 2, BT2 position #on ", i5, R, battery, earth.
The relay brings its contact r to the left position, whereupon after the J relay drops out, before the relay R drops out, the changeover relay U is energized via the contacts is and b, so that the polarity reversal of the on by switching the contacts u1, u2 the line L lying direct current source G takes place. Since the self-holding circuit is closed when the relay U is activated via z, U3 and resistance Wein, the following impulses reach the sub-center in the opposite direction of current.
In position 15 of selector HZ, a holding circuit for the delayed relay JH is closed: earth,

Pulses excited through the contact i3 and the selector arm HZII. Since during the excitation of JH the contact i3 is open as a result of the switched off excitation current of J, the relay VK will drop out after a certain time delayed as in the example of FIG. 5 and the contact vk will open, whereupon the
EMI4.2
inserted.
Let us assume that organ no. 15 is also to be involved, i.e. H. The button BZ 15 is in the left position, so in the selector position 15 the relay R is energized again when the relay J is energized and the current path through the delayed relay B is interrupted, which has been around since the U relay picked up U4 has passed. In the left position of contact r there is a current path via relay Z as soon as the J relay drops out again, since contact b is still in the right position due to the delayed action of relay B. The relay Z opens its contact z and
EMI4.3
and the pulses sent via line L have the direction of current that was present at the beginning before organ no. 2 was switched on.
A contact Us is connected to contact 25 of the series of contacts belonging to the selector arm HZI, which causes the armature of the changeover relay U to return to the rest position in the end position of the selector, since when the contact Mg is closed, the R relay is re-energized becomes.
The pulses arriving in the sub-center UZ flow through the windings of the relays ER and ERz, which are mechanically or electrically set on one side and whose normally-closed contact positions ef1, er2 correspond to the positions shown. It is assumed that relay ER2 responds with positive current pulses and relay jEi with negative current pulses. The corresponding relays EI, E2 are excited from the direct current source (Au.
The two-way relays Bi, H2 controlled by the latter have the effect that the positive and negative pulses are transmitted in the same way via the contacts h11, h21
EMI4.4
If the current direction is to be assumed to be positive, the selector is advanced from the zero position under the influence of the receiving relay ER2. According to the present example, where in position 2

Battery, earth. The armature of relay N2 is attracted, which is held in a self-holding circuit via a second winding and the contact.
Relays N switch on and relays M switch off the organs to be controlled. The holding circuits of both relay groups have a common part, which leads to the contact positions 1-25 of the selector arm HUII. so that in the rest position of the reception selector EU see also the relays M, N are in the rest position.
Immediately after the relay N2 in the circuit just mentioned has picked up, the contacts t, Mg, U. are switched over by the response of the relay Uu. If a further organ in the substation is to be switched on in a subsequent voter position so that the direction of the current impulses transmitted via line L is changed again, then speak again:
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
As at the beginning of the series of impulses, relays ER2, E2 and H2 are on. The corresponding N relay is now made to respond via the contacts e "u" u and the corresponding selector position.
Closing the h23 contact also excites the relay Z, which at z disconnects the holding circuit of the changeover relay UM so that the u contacts again assume the position shown.
The switching off of an organ, which is transmitted by a pause inserted in the series of power pulses, takes place in the substation UZ by the fact that during the power pause due to the open contacts! h22 the delay relay V comes to a drop, which closes its normally closed contact Vi, whereby the corresponding M relay is energized. For example, at step 15 there is the following excitation circuit for relay M15, if the M contacts are in the position shown: earth, fi, selector arm RiUI position 15, M15, u4, w, battery, earth.
If the direction of the transmitted current impulses has previously changed, this circuit runs via Cl, u5, w, earth. The relay Mg then only responds after the power break during the short time in which the Pi contact is already closed but the vu contact is not yet open.
