Fitting consisting of one-piece continuous metal strips for the outer edges of the skiing area.

So far, metal edges for skis are known, which are embedded as smooth surface strips lying flat on both sides of the running surface. A serious shortcoming of these strips is that they are not resilient in their length, which is why the ski is subject to strong deflections
 EMI1.1
tear off or loose or are stretched and arched between the attachment points, or, if the strips and their attachment are strong enough, the ski is stiffened to such an extent that it can no longer cling to the terrain enough when driving.

The purpose of the invention, which is shown in the drawings in some exemplary embodiments, is to counteract these disadvantages. For this purpose, the metal strips are cranked over their entire length; these also offer the advantage for the ascent of replacing the seal skins if they are carried out in a manner similar to that of FIG. 1, 1a. If the edges do not have a climbing effect, they can be given longer straight stretches and short crank curves.

The metal edges are made for the entire length of the ski from one-piece continuous strips (Fig. 3), which, following at short intervals, have small cranks a, which, slightly resilient, can join in any length expansion of the running surface and in the embodiments according to Fig. 1 and Fig. 1 a prevent the back sliding of the ski. They are let in on both sides of the running surface, sloping slightly outwards, which reduces the scraping effect of the sharp edge on the snow and enables the ski to swing or turn extremely easily. In addition to the crankings, they are attached using small pins b or by gluing them on.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Fitting for the outer edges of the skiing surface consisting of one-piece continuous metal strips, characterized in that the metal strips have crankings over their entire length which, through their resilient effect, allow the elongation of the wood fiber of the tread to be compensated for.
