Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Gummiisolierte elektrische Leitung.
EMI1.1

Rubber-insulated electrical cable.
EMI1.1
surrounded, over which a metallic layer 4, possibly with the insertion of a fiber layer. 5. is applied. The metal layer 4 can consist of metallized paper strips or of copper, tin or aluminum foil. A fibrous material layer 7 through which wires 6 are interwoven is arranged on this metal layer 4. The wires are in electrically conductive contact with the metal layer 4. Both are expediently earthed during operation or connected to earth on vehicles. As mechanical and chemical protection against damage and against the effects of acids, vapors and oils, an outer covering 8 is applied to the line, which is impregnated with oil-resistant and acid-resistant paint.
The outer fiber layer 8 can be braided, braided or knitted around the conductor.
The rubber-insulated electrical line according to the invention has significant advantages. Since it is provided with a metallic layer that acts as an electrostatic shield, the switching noises transmitted through the line and periodically changing voltages cannot interfere with wireless telecommunications receivers. The outer sheath, which according to the invention is impregnated with an oil-resistant paint, protects the line insulation and the metallic layer from chemical attacks.
At the same time, in addition to being free from interference and oil resistance, the cable also has great flexibility and low weight per meter. It is therefore particularly suitable for vehicles, especially for aircraft.
