Schwimmerhahn.

Float tap.
The invention relates to a float tap with a shut-off device, the valve seat of which consists of a rubber ring which is pressed between two metal sleeves in such a way that it permanently retains its shape and thus forms a constant base for the valve bolt. In the existing float taps, a metal tube was designed as a seat, against which a rubber stopper was pressed. However, this often had to be replaced because it literally pierced over time and thus became leaky. In the present invention, however, this deficiency is eliminated and, moreover, the manufacturing cost is reduced by the expediency in construction.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in Fig. 1 in longitudinal section. A bolt b is pressed against a rubber seat s by the lever h and thus closes the outflow opening.
This valve seat is shown enlarged in FIG. 2 and, according to the invention, consists of a rubber ring s surrounded by a metal belt r, which is placed on a tube k through which the water flows out. The tube and the metal belt are surmounted by the rubber ring, so that a completely soft seat is guaranteed. The valve is closed by pressing the bolt b against the seat. The bolt b carries a small pin x, which throttles the outflow just before closing and enables a soft closing. If for any reason the seal becomes unusable, suppository a is sufficient; perfect for closing and preventing the container from overflowing.
The valve seat according to the invention can also be used for those taps which close with the water pressure, but the valve body is arranged as shown in FIG.
In this arrangement, it is advisable to store the bolt b in a guide, since it is pressed from below. The bolt has a thickening g which, when the valve begins to close, already fills the channel and thus makes a pressure return impossible. The direction of flow is indicated by the arrow. In Fig. 1, a shut-off valve o can be seen on the float cock, which allows the flow to be weakened at will.
PATENT CLAIMS: 1. Float tap, characterized in that a rubber ring (s) is used as a valve seat in the housing, which is girdled by a metal tire (r) and is inserted over a tube (k) serving as an outflow channel.
