Blzladder with metal rungs.
The invention relates to a wooden ladder with metal rungs pressed flat at the ends and aims to improve the design and fastening of the rungs.
According to the invention, the ends of the rungs are bent downwards at right angles and fastened to the spar by means of a clamp connection, the ends being able to sit on notches on the spars.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, for example. 1 shows a horizontal section through a spar, FIGS. 2 and 3 show longitudinal and cross-sections through the metal tube, FIG. 4 shows a visual diagram.
The z. B. consisting of a gas pipe rung 1 is bent at each end reehtwinkelig down and flattened. The bent part is sunk into a correspondingly deep, right-angled recess of the spar 2 and sits with one end on the bottom of the recess. To connect the rungs to the spar, their flattened part and the spar are provided with a bore into which a head screw 3 is drawn and secured by a nut 4.
Apart from the greater flexural strength of the pipes, there is a favorable transmission of the bearing pressure, since the bent parts have an arch-like effect, sit on notches and their bearing pressure is also largely absorbed by the friction of the clamping connection. The shear forces that otherwise occur in the rung are eliminated. The screw is placed inside where it does not interfere. The remaining part of the contact pressure of the rung is distributed over a fairly large area.
