Chair made of continuously bent tubular steel or the like.
The invention relates to a chair made of continuously curved steel tube or the like. According to the invention, the resilient frame of the chair consists of two independent frames set on or nested, one of which forms the base and the other the seat and backrest, with at least one this frame is designed to be closed in itself and one of its cross connections stiffened the other frame. The suspension of the frame can be achieved in that the foot frame, viewed from the side, has the shape of a U, W or S. The upper legs of the base can either directly carry the lower legs of the seat frame or they can be used as
Armrests serve, with the rear cross connection of the upper legs of the base as
The backrest spread works.
According to the invention, the front edge of the seat forming the transverse reinforcement is also bent downwards and under the seat surface, that is to say to the rear at the front end. This ensures that this
Transverse stiffening does not hinder the use of the chair, d. H. So neither comes into contact with the downwardly pressed elastic seat surface nor with the legs of the user.
If necessary, the rear ends of the upper legs of the transverse reinforcement can also be used
Base can be bent downwards and forwards. This transverse reinforcement then also forms a rear transverse reinforcement of the seat attached to the base.
1-5 of the drawing represent the subject of the invention in several exemplary embodiments in a perspective view.
In all the embodiments shown, the side cheeks Cl of the seat frame are bent approximately semicircularly downwards and backwards at a1 so that the cross connection b of the side cheeks lies below the seat c and behind the front seat edge. At the rear the side cheeks a of the seat frame are bent up to the backrest d, the upper cross connection of which is bent out of the surface of the backrest covering so that the cross connection of the side cheeks d of the backrest lies behind the backrest surface.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the base i, seen from the side, has the shape of a U open to the rear. The rear ends of the upper legs are bent downwards and forwards at le, so that the cross connection m below the seat c lies. So here the seat is well stiffened laterally on its front and back.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the base i, viewed from the side, has the shape of a U open to the front. The upper legs of the base i, which are attached to the seat frame, are joined by legs n bent upwards and backwards, whose rear cross-connection o stiffened the backrest d near the seat surface, so that this stiffening also benefits the seat.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the pedestal is designed essentially in the form of a rearwardly open U and the upper legs form, as in FIG. 2, the legs, armrests, while the cross connection p of the upper legs stiffen the backrest and the Seat forms.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the essentially S-shaped seat frame a is connected to the base frame i at q '. The upper legs are formed into armrests and the cross connection t of these upper legs to the backrest and seat spreader. With such an embodiment of the chair, particularly good suspension is achieved, as is the case with the embodiment according to FIG. 5, which differs from the embodiment according to FIG. 4 only in that the foot

Frame i essentially has a W-shape, so that the main loop i1 of the pedestal and the cross connection i2 of the pedestal are moved to the rear of the chair in order to prevent the user as little as possible.
