Mixing screen insert for the gas mixture intake pipe of internal combustion engines.

7 and 8 illustrate a modified type of the mixing screen insert described above. In general, the distribution and mixing spiral is the same as that used in connection with FIGS.
3 and 4 is described, except that the above-mentioned distribution and mixing spiral D in a shorter, in height substantially corresponding to the thickness of the insert disk a

Embodiment, when the throttle valve in the intake pipe is partially open, most of the air gas mixture is directed to the spiral ducts on the circumference of the spiral, where the distribution is best, there is a sleeve-shaped baffle g on the inlet side of the mixing spiral between a group of outer spiral ducts and the middle part of the distribution and mixing spiral inserted.
As can be seen from FIG. 7, this chicane g protrudes over a certain length on the inlet side of the mixing spiral. Its effect is as follows: When the throttle valve in the intake pipe assumes an inclined position, the gas-air mixture is directed at a certain angle onto the distribution and mixing spiral of the mixing screen insert. Part of the mixture will meet the latter within the sleeve g and will consequently be sucked through the central part of the spiral. Another, bigger one

PATENT CLAIMS:
1.Mixing sieve insert for the air gas mixture intake pipe of internal combustion engines, in which a thin, zigzag-shaped corrugated band is wound up spirally together with a thin flat band to form a distribution and mixing spiral forming the sieve, characterized in that the toothed shafts of the corrugated band (d) in some turns of the spiral lying in one plane to the longitudinal axis of the band to one side, in other turns of the same to the other side are inclined so that the mixture passage channels (d2) of the spiral in the successive sections of the same on the flat exit surface of the spiral are inclined are directed against each other.
