Device for resetting display elements in counters to the zero position.
The invention relates to a device for resetting pointers or dials in counters, which is triggered by a release process that is initiated by pressing a button or lever. Swing back into the zero position, whereby there must be the possibility that these display members can rotate as often as desired about their axis and thereby strive in every position to move against the switching movement. At acquaintances
Constructions are used for resetting the indicator member springs. So a
Indicator member can rotate as often as desired, was previously the associated spring with a
Slipping clutch connected.
Instead of such a clutch with its disadvantages of tearing of the pretensioned spring or a decrease in friction in the slip clutch, the
Device according to the invention, a toothed segment loaded against the switching movement is provided, which acts on a gear connected to the display member or members and then tries to rotate it counter to the switching movement, i.e. seeks to bring the display member or members back into the zero position when the toothed segment as the switching process continues, only press the last tooth against the toothing of the
Wheel pushes.
In Fig. 1 and 2 of the drawing, two different positions of the toothed segment 1 are shown in a view. 3 is a section through a counter showing the relationship between the known claw clutch required for the resetting process and the toothed segment.
When the counter is switched, the coupling half 7 is rotated so that the display element on the pointer shaft 6 is also rotated by the coupling half 5, which is also firmly seated on the shaft 6. The tendency to rotate of the toothed segment 1, which is loaded by a weight or, as shown, by a spring, '2 in the direction of the arrow, has to be overcome, since this toothed segment acts on a wheel 3 which is firmly connected to the coupling half 5 . At the same time, a stop disk 4 cooperating with the pawl 8 is connected to the coupling half 5. which limits the resetting of the display element in the zero position.
Fig. 1 shows the position of the toothed segment 1 in which it fully engages the wheel 3, while in Fig. 2 the position is drawn. which corresponds to the continued switching process and in which the toothed segment 1 is already rotated so far that it only presses against the gearwheel 3 with its last tooth 9. This is also the position of the toothed segment when the switching process is continued and the toothed segment with its last tooth skips the respective tooth of the wheel 3 and snaps into the next tooth gap of the wheel 3.
If the display member is to be brought into the zero position, then by releasing the coupling, for example by an axial pressure on the shaft 6, which disengages the coupling half 5 from the coupling half 7 and the connection with the device causing the circuit, the display member with the Shaft 6 returned to the zero position by the action of toothed segment 1.
