Device for displaying malfunctions in the correct operating condition of amplifier tubes.
It is known that there is no heating voltage, as is the case when the Feil1sicherung or the filament is blown. by means of an alarm relay connected in series to the filament.
In operation, this arrangement has the major disadvantage that only a malfunction in the heating circuit of the pipe, but not the absence of the anode or grid prestress or an incorrect grid prestress, is displayed. For operation, however, it is obviously important to report any malfunction in the operating condition of a pipe. According to the present invention, this disadvantage can be remedied by switching on an alarm device in the anode circuit of the pipe instead of in the heating circuit. In any case, such an alarm device indicates any deviation in the correct anode current, irrespective of the cause.
If the filament burns durably or if there is no heating or anode tension, the anode current drops to zero. If there is no grid voltage, the anode current increases.
If the heating or anode voltage drops, the anode current decreases,

However, relays have always had the purpose of triggering certain processes depending on the voltages applied to the grid. They have not yet been used to secure the tubes themselves; rather, the security seals have so far worked exclusively according to the basic concept described above. The new method, however, is much simpler and more reliable, since the deviations in the anode current caused by malfunctions can be used very easily to operate relays.
According to the invention, these deviations from the normal operating state z. B. indicated by a relay device as shown in FIG. This arrangement consists of two relays connected in series. Egg and it. The relay. Ei is in the correct operating condition, i.e. H. is attracted to an anode current ah, it drops if the anode current fails - due to the filament burning through, failure of the heating or anode voltage - and closes its contact before the alarm device switches on. The relay Bi can be further designed so that it already drops below a certain value when the anode current drops and thus also indicates the decrease in the heating or anode voltage or an excessively high grid voltage.
The relay E2 does not yet respond with a normal anode current, but only with a higher AlIodel1current a2, as occurs due to the absence of the grid bias.
If tubes are overdriven, the overdrive is manifested by a fluctuation in the anode current. The present invention can now also be used to indicate the overload if it exceeds a certain level, since the relay arrangement allows a minimum or
Read the maximum current.
According to the invention, this relay arrangement can be further developed in such a way that it can also be used to throttle the main body noises. This achieves a further advantage, since the anode chokes can be omitted or if they are retained, interference can be filtered out more effectively.
It is often necessary to place the equalizer in the anode circle of your tube in order to obtain a desired gain curve. Such equalizers are complex structures and, according to the invention, a relay winding of this alarm device is used as an inductive component.

Instead of the relay arrangement could, for. For example, an instrument with a minimum and maximum contact can also be used. The contacts are set so that any minimum or maximum anode current is displayed.
