Process for the production of bars for glass stakes

The invention relates to a process for the production of bars for glass roofs. Such rungs consist of a profile. preferably T-profile. which merges at the bottom into a channel for the drainage of the sweat water, which is deposited on the inside of the glass roof.

The dimensions of the profile must be adapted to the respective demands of the same.
 EMI1.1

The production of these special profiles in the rolling process requires the production of complex, calibrated and therefore expensive rollers, which are only worthwhile if large quantities of the profile are required.

In order to produce small quantities of this special prossle quickly and cheaply by bypassing the rolling process, according to the invention a normal profile, e.g. B. a T-iron or angled iron with the drainage channel bent from sheet metal, z. B. by welding connected.

The drawing explains the process, u. Between. Fig. 1 shows the cross section through an installed rung according to the invention. Fig. 2 shows this rung diagrammatically, Fig. 3 likewise diagrammatically shows a modified embodiment of the same.
 EMI1.2
is. The welding takes place. As can be seen from FIG. 2, in places, the division of the welding points being chosen so that the strength of the connection equals the strength of a force riveting. The glass panels 4 of the roof are pressed against the flange 1 a of the normal profile 1 by means of the clamping strip 6 and the clamping screws 7 with the interposition of strips J made of soft material. Bores 8 are provided in the flange 1 a for the passage of the screw bolt 7, while the nuts 9 of the screw bolts find space in recesses 10 of the web.

In the modified embodiment of the rung shown in Fig. 3, the normal profile 1 consists of an angle iron, which is also connected by welding below at 2 with a one-sided, bent sheet metal channel 3a.

   PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for the production of bars for glass roofs, characterized. that a normal profile, e.g. B. T-iron or angle iron, with the drainage channel bent from sheet metal, e.g. B. is connected by welding.
