Device for generating high-frequency electrical currents for patient treatment.
 EMI1.1
The disadvantage of sickness treatment is that the operating data of the treatment current can only be set and measured when the patient is connected to the treatment electrodes.

According to the invention, this disadvantage is eliminated by the fact that the consumption circuit contains a phantom which, before the treatment electrodes are applied to the part of the patient to be treated, can be switched on with the aid of a switch. This makes it possible to read the strength of the treatment current on the measuring instrument located in the patient circuit before the patient is connected to the treatment electrodes. The phantom can consist of a self-induction-free resistance, the size of which corresponds to the resistance of the body part to be treated. Accordingly, this resistance is expediently made adjustable and provided with a calibration scale.

In some cases, especially in dental diathermy, it can also be useful to use a fixed resistance that corresponds to the resistance of a tooth.

An embodiment of the new device is shown in the figure, according to the layout arrangement. a is the primary coil of the transformer b, the secondary coil of which is denoted by c.

The excitation circuit d consists of a spark gap, capacitance and self-induction. The current removal terminals (patient terminals) f, g and the measuring device h for the treatment current are switched on in the patient circuit e. The phantom resistance i is parallel to the terminals f, g. switched. In series with the resistor i is the switch k, which is closed for the purpose of checking the strength of the treatment current (current display) and after setting the
