Socketless electric incandescent lamp or discharge tube and process for their manufacture.
Although socketless electric incandescent lamps have long been known, socketless types of incandescent lamps with a centerless bulb of the type currently produced in large numbers using a vent tube fused to the pinch point and with a cemented base are not found. A capless lamp design with a centerless envelope would be advantageous because the cost of manufacturing such a lamp can be lower.
The invention aims to produce a socketless lamp, and it is based on the idea, contrary to what has been done so far, with the fused end

To make available without having to fear destruction of the lamp as a result of damage to the ventilation tube.
The invention consists of a socketless electric incandescent lamp or discharge tube in which the fused end of the vent tube is located within an indentation of the bulb or within a space formed by parts fused to the bulb. The discharge tubes are, for example, transmitter tubes and receiver tubes. X-ray tubes and Mentioned like.
A base is to be understood here as a body which is used to fasten an incandescent lamp or discharge tube to a socket and which is provided with parts used for conducting current. which, on the one hand, have to establish contact with the power supply wires and, on the other hand, with the socket, whereby this body does not form any limitation of the vented or gas-filled space. in which the glow body is located or the discharge can take place.
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. in which in Fig. 1 the number 1 denotes the centerless bulb of an electric incandescent lamp which is fused to a support frame consisting of a tube 2 and a pinch point 3, which carries the pole wires 4 to which the incandescent body 5 is attached. The vent tube 6 is fused to the pinch point 3, the fused end 7 of which, like the figure

act that heat rays are concentrated on the ventilation tube with the aid of a lens or a mirror, it being advantageous that the ventilation tube consists of a material that absorbs the heat, such as black-colored glass.
Melting the de-lift tube can also be achieved by high-frequency heating.

for this purpose, the ventilation tube is provided with a metal plug or a metal sleeve.

In FIG. 2 another embodiment of the invention is shown, in which 'denotes the bulb of an electric incandescent lamp which contains the plate tube 9 and the pinch point 10 into which the pole wires 11 are melted, to which the incandescent body 12 is attached. The figure clearly shows that the end 13 of the venting tube 14 is located so far inside the collar 15 fused to the piston wall 8. that the vent pipes by bumps u. Like. Can not be damaged. The power supply wires are denoted by 16.
