1. Schwach gebrannter Ton in Körnerform,
2. Staub aus derselben Masse,
3. gepulverter Kalkstein in Wasserglas suspendiert,

Process for the production of elastic paths, playgrounds and. like
The invention relates to a method for producing elastic paths, playgrounds 11. The like. Made of ceramic mass and a mixture of water glass and limestone powder. The invention is based on the fact that lightly fired clay is used as the ceramic mass for the ceiling and a mixture of waterglass and limestone powder is used as the binder.
The elastic mass consists of the following components:
1. Weakly fired clay in grain form,
2. dust of the same mass,
3. powdered limestone suspended in water glass,
4. Appropriate mineral dye or soil.
The lightly fired clay acquires a certain degree of chemical reactivity by firing at about 600-700 C, especially since the aluminum silicate splits in it.
Other components of this clay mass also change, e.g. B. iron and lime compounds to chemically reactive substances. At the same time, the clay becomes porous to a significant extent through this weak burnout and gains the ability to chemically bind part of the water absorbed, because this clay and its flour become weakly hydraulic.
The lightly fired clay is then crushed and the individual grain sizes are mixed with one another in a certain ratio to produce a mixture with a certain water absorption capacity and a certain consistency. However, this mixing ratio is arbitrary and depends on the type of sporting exercise as well as the demands of the path or the playground.
The powdered dust from the lightly fired clay described in the preceding paragraph has the same composition and is advantageously used to sprinkle the surface of the pavement for a better appearance.
An aqueous water glass solution in which powdered limestone is suspended is used to mix the ceiling compound.
Embodiments:
1. On the hard substructure of the sports field or the like. After sprinkling with water, a 3 cm thick layer of slightly burnt-out clay is applied and then sprinkled with a liquid, which from
10 parts water glass,
70 parts of water and
20 parts of limestone powder. After it has hardened moderately, the layer is sprinkled with powdered dust from the clay mass mentioned with the addition of about 100/0 iron paint. A roller pressure is then applied to the ceiling and the surface is then sprinkled a second time with the above suspension.
2. Weakly burned clay is crushed and mixed with liquid according to Example 1 to form a tough dough, which is applied to the substructure of the playground or the like, whereupon it is allowed to harden moderately. The ceiling is then sprinkled with the limestone water glass suspension according to Example 1 and sprinkled with dusty, lightly burnt clay with the addition of paint.
