Elektromagnetischer Erzscheider.

Electromagnetic ore separator.
The known magnetic separators, which separate the magnetic material from the non-magnetic material when it trickles through it through a magnetic field in that the magnetic particles are either lifted or deflected from their path, suffer from the disadvantage that the reaction space could only be created as a short gap and in addition, the magnetic field was only insufficiently used due to large scatter losses.
To avoid these inconveniences, ore separators have already been proposed in which the material to be separated is passed through a closed, ring-shaped air gap through which magnetic lines of force penetrate and which are designed in such a way that the magnetic end piece consists of an outer pole in the form of a body of revolution and a centrally arranged inner pole is formed. Such a design of the magnetic end piece allows the creation of a very strong magnetic field, which also allows weak magnetic bodies to be separated, while the annular arrangement creates a long, effective gap.
According to the invention, in such a separator, the feed device feeding the material to be cut is designed to be rotatable, so that the material enters the cutting gap with a speed component acting tangentially to the direction of rotation.
The fact that a tangential force acts on the particles falling through the cutting gap as a result of the rotary movement of the feed member, causes the parabola, which is created under the influence of gravity and after which the material falls through the cutting gap, to be pulled out in the horizontal direction, and so the material to be cut remains in the cutting zone for a longer time than the material that falls off without this rotating movement. The separating effect of the magnetic gap is therefore more intense.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown using an exemplary embodiment, u. Between Fig. 1 shows a section through a separator with a rotatable task device, and Fig. 2 shows a multiple arrangement of the same separator. Figures 3-5 show details.
The core 20 has a number of arms 21 which approach the head 22 of the core 20 and are united there to form a ring 23. The magnetic windings 24 can be attached to the core 20 and also to the arms 21. The gutter arranged above the head 22 of the core consists of a rotatably mounted, conical bottom part 25 which is adjustable in its distance from the stationary cylinder 26 and brings the material to be cut with a tangentially acting component into the cutting chamber when it is rotated.
In Fig. 2, another embodiment is shown, which results from the concentric arrangement of two apparatuses of FIG. The central core 27 is surrounded here by two concentric cores 28 and 29, which are magnetically connected with their base parts 30 and form the concentric dividing gaps 31 and 32 with their head parts. The concentric gutters 33 and 34 are used to supply the material to be cut.
Fig. 3 illustrates the effect of the rotary movement on the material to be cut. While a sheath granule A descends under the action of gravity in the parabola indicated by arrow fl, it describes the longer path in the direction of arrow a under the action of the rotary movement of cone 35.
Fig. 4 illustrates a rotatable gutter, as it is also shown in Fig. 1, on a larger scale. A cone 37 rotatably mounted about an axis 36 protrudes with its edge 38 into the cutting gap in order to bring the tangential force of the rotation to the cutting material.
The fixed cylinder 39 arranged above it is adjustable in height, so that by the setting

this gap, in conjunction with the speed of the cone 37, the speed of the material feed into the separator can be regulated. One or more scrapers 40 arranged on the cylinder 39 prevent bridging of the magnetic material over the. Cutting gap.
Fig. 5 shows in section a gutter with a fixed cone 41 and a rotatable cylinder 42, which is expediently provided with wings 43 in order to give a strong angular momentum to the cut material emerging from the gutter gap.
