The lamps Li and La are fed from the direct current network (FIG. 1) with the interposition of the chokes D and D. Both lamps burn evenly, but not with full amperage.
The speaking current of the microphone M is stored via these two lamps by means of the transformer T. As can be seen from FIG. 1, the circuit is such that when the current in Li increases during a half-cycle of the transformer T, it simultaneously decreases in La. With the other half-wave, however, the process is reversed. Correspondingly, the light from lamp Le has also increased when it decreases in L2, and vice versa. The light from L., and L, is collected by the capacitors 01 and O2, in front of which there are two columns 8, and 8. The objective 0 throws the image of these two columns 81 and 8a reduced on the film F.
As a result, two strips a and b arise on the unrolling film F, on which the alternating light and dark areas on the same transverse line of the film correspond to the light fluctuations of the lamps Li and La or the microphone currents. The film F accordingly presents the image of FIG. 2 after exposure and development.
Here a and b again mean the two blackening stripes. in which the light and dark stripes are alternately shifted by 1800, regardless of the period of the recorded sound.
EMI2.1
If the vowel "a" in 11, 12, 13 represents the vowel "u", then the adjacent notes m, n, o, p, q of the second tone row b belong to the vowel "a" and r, s, t to the vowel "u" on. If the blackening 1 is produced by any positive wave half of the microphone stream, the blackening m is caused by the negative wave half associated with this positive. The blackening m corresponds to the lightening between 1 and 2 and the blackening 2 to the lightening between m and n.
The same is true of 11, 12, 13 and r, s, t.
3 shows the diagram of the playback device for a film according to the push-pull method explained by FIGS. 1 and 2: the light emanating from the constantly burning lamp L3 is emitted by the condenser C; collected and thrown through the objective 03 under the illumination of the two strips a and b of the film F onto two prisms Pi and P2, which again, deflected by 900, forward it to two photoelectric cells Zi and. These cells work in a known manner on the connected
EMI2.2
Currents amplified in this way are combined in the output transformer and fed to the loudspeaker L.
The currents of the two photoelectric cells can of course also be combined by an arrangement in the manner of an output transformer for a push-pull amplifier and then passed on to an ordinary amplifier.
The implementation of the invention explained above also has the following significant advantage: Similar to how one can lower the operating point on the characteristic curve of the tubes in amplifier technology with the push-pull method, i.e. work with a greater negative bias voltage and thus obtain a lengthened characteristic curve, so to speak, is achieved by the Invention, the point of the middle (working) exposure is placed lower on the gradation line, which means that the working exposure of the film (exposure with the microphone at rest) may be taken weaker than usual, because the distortion caused by the lower curvature of the recording with only one lamp Gradation line of the film would arise, is canceled by the inventive method of push-pull recording.
