Die Erfindung betrifft eine aus wasserdichtem Stoff gefertigte, durch Gummizüge an der Kopfbedeckung festgehaltene Regenschutzhülle für Hüte. Erfindungsgemäss ist an jener Stelle der Hülle, wo diese den Rand der Hutkrempe umfasst, eine verstellbare Versteifungseinlage angeordnet, die es ermöglicht, letztere der Form und Grösse der Hutkrempe anzupassen.
In der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes schematisch veranschaulicht, u. zw. zeigt Fig. 1 den Überzug im Vertikalschnitt und Fig. 2 denselben in Draufsicht.
Der Regenschutz für die Kopfbedeckung besteht aus einer glockenförmigen Hülle a aus wasserdichtem, zweckmässig elastischem Material. Die Hülle ist so geformt, dass sie die Kopfform des Hutes und die Krempe desselben zu umfassen vermag. Zu dem Zwecke sind in die Hülle beispielsweise zwei Gummizüge b, c eingesetzt. Der Gummizug b befindet sich an der Wurzel der Kopfform, während der Gummizug c den Rand der Hülle a begrenzt.
Zur Formhaltung der Hülle ist an der Stelle, wo dieselbe den Rand der Hutkrempe umfasst, ein federnder Ring d aus geeignetem Material eingesetzt, dessen Enden e ineinandergeschoben sind oder einander übergreifen, so dass der Durchmesser bzw. die Form des Ringes bedarfsgemäss geändert werden kann. Hiedurch ist es ermöglicht, die Hülle der Grösse und Form der betreffenden Hutkrempe anzupassen. Hiebei kann die Feststellung der einander übergreifenden oder ineinandergreifenden Ringenden e durch eine einfache Klammer oder einen einfachen Hakenverschluss f usw. erfolgen.
