Facility for treating patients with high-frequency electrical currents.
As is known, high-frequency vibrations are emitted during the treatment from various parts of facilities for the treatment of patients with high-frequency electrical currents, which cause interference with reception devices for wireless communication when these reception devices are in the vicinity of such treatment facilities.
The new device, which is shown schematically in the figure in an exemplary embodiment in a perspective view, serves to prevent these reception disorders and has a Faraday cage, which is used to accommodate the apparatus a used to generate the treatment current, the patient b and the supply lines c from the apparatus is made suitable for the patient.
According to the invention, the cage consists of the support frame for the metal curtains e, optionally made of tubes d, on which the metal strips or wires forming the curtains are suspended or stretched at such a distance that, on the one hand, the high-frequency vibrations causing the reception interference are intercepted, on the other hand, the view through the curtains is not obstructed, so that the apparatus a and above all the patient can be observed during the treatment. The metal strips or wires can, to avoid unpleasant discharge phenomena when entering or exiting
EMI1.1
Compared to known devices in which the Faraday cage consists of a copper sheet covering the entire treatment room, the new device has the advantage that it can be installed in a relatively simple and inexpensive manner without impairment and without structural changes to the treatment room.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Device for patient treatment with high-frequency electrical currents, which has a Faraday cage for receiving the apparatus generating the treatment current, the patient and the connecting lines between the apparatus and the patient, characterized in that the cage consists of a tubular or rod frame on which metal strips or wires are hung or stretched like a curtain.
