EMI1.1

EMI1.1
It is already known to cool the cooker absorber of periodically operating absorption refrigeration machines by means of a low-boiling liquid. From the evaporator, which is arranged in the cooker absorber for this purpose, the vapors produced during this cooling pass into a condenser which is in the same cooling water as the condenser of the refrigerating machine; the liquid formed flows back to the evaporator via a shut-off device, if necessary through a collecting container. The condenser that liquefies the refrigerant for the refrigeration machine and the coolant for its cooker absorber. can be air-cooled.
In order to improve the cooling of the cooker absorber, an air-cooled pre-condenser for dissipating heat and an air-cooled secondary cooler for subcooling the liquefied condensate are arranged according to the invention.
Such a design is shown in Fig. 1 of the drawing, in which 1 means the cooker absorber of the refrigerating machine and 2 - 8 its cooling device, of which 2 the evaporator, 3 the steam line to the condenser, 4 the condenser coil, 5 the water tank, 6 a storage tank for the coolant and 7 is a shut-off device in the liquid feed line 8 to the evaporator. The pre-cooler 9 for dissipating the overheating is arranged upstream of the condenser tube 4 and the aftercooler 10 is arranged downstream of the container 6.
An improvement could also be achieved by increasing the surface of the condenser container by means of ribs or a wave-like design of the sheet metal walls in order to fall below the aforementioned lower cooling limit towards the end of the process, when the higher concentration of the solution in the coherent absorber requires lower temperatures.
The control of the valve 7 will also suitably be adapted to the control of the heat source provided in each case. Thus, FIG. 2 shows a control of the valve 7 for electrical operation. Here 11 is the valve housing, 12 the valve spindle with cone, 13 a membrane for sealing against the outside air and 14 a solenoid for actuating the valve spindle. The coil of the solenoid is switched on in the heating circuit and does not require any special control.
