Messerwange A befestigten Seherblatt Mi besteht, in gleich lange Stücke geschnitten.

Machine for the production of paper sealing strips.
The invention relates to a machine for the automatic production of strip-shaped paper seals of a certain length, in which a wider one pulled from a roll in the axial direction
Paper strips are drawn through a funnel with the aid of two narrow press rollers that can be set against one another and are compressed more or less as required, giving it the shape of a narrow strip of rectangular cross-section. This tape, cut by the machine into pieces of a certain length, represents the ready-to-use paper sealing strip. The paper strip is pulled off the roll in the axial direction so that it gets into the funnel or between the rollers in a helically rolled-up state.
Two transverse cutting blades are used to cut the strip into pieces of equal length, one of which rotates about an axis parallel to the direction of movement of the strip. However, since the material conveyed continuously by the rollers is prevented from exiting while the shear blade passes after the cut, a clipping will arise which depends on the speed of the material and the cutter and is proportional to the height of the seller blade.
These
According to the invention, clipping is reduced to a tolerable level by arranging the seer sheet in such a way that the narrow side faces the incoming material. while its broad side is attached to a knife cheek whose side facing the material is beveled at an angle which corresponds to the relative movement of the strip to the cutter.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the top view of the machine, FIG. 2 shows a vertical section through the same, FIG. 3 shows the cutter in cross section.

protrudes. The purpose of the shelves b is to laterally limit the passage cross-section, while the height is limited by the adjustable upper roller. By setting a larger or smaller roller spacing, a weaker or stronger compression of the strip can be achieved.
The lower press roller is keyed to the shaft I, which is driven by a belt pulley V, while the upper roller z is fastened to the shaft II, which is mounted in vertically adjustable slide bearings. In order to prevent the strip p from being wound onto the roller z, a scraper li is arranged.
The paper seal emerging between the press rollers is finally cut by a cross cutting device, which consists of the fixed shear blade Mu (in FIG. 3) and the one on the rotating one
Knife cheek A attached seer blade Mi consists, cut into pieces of equal length. In order to avoid a peeping of the following material as the cutter passes by, it is designed according to the invention (FIG. 3) in such a way that the narrow side of the seer blade Mi faces the incoming material, while the relevant side of the knife cheek A is under a Angle 5 is beveled, which corresponds to the relative movement of the strip to the cutter.
The inclination of the seer sheet Mi corresponds to the sharpening angle customary for paper.

of different strip lengths on one and the same machine.
In order to achieve a straight run of the sealing strips from the press rollers Z, s to the cutting device A, M1, a guide F is arranged, the from or. increasing cross-section the strip enough leeway when entering or. Exit creates. As shown in Fig. 1, the described
Device can also be arranged several times next to one another on common shafts with a common separator.
