Elektrische LotYo'richtnng.

Electric lottery direction.
The invention relates to a soldering device which is used to determine the position of a liquid level from a location above it. It is particularly suitable for determining the characteristics of oil probes.
EMI1.1
These substances lie on top of each other in layers in the borehole. The sand or mud carried along by the inflowing fluids settles directly on the bottom of the borehole, above that the brine collects, and above the brine layer, the specifically lighter crude oil, which is more or less gaseous. Above the crude oil there is a sehaum-like mixture of crude oil and gas, from which gas is constantly escaping upwards. If the oil is to be conveyed, the correct immersion depth must first be determined before the conveying device is lowered. The suction part of the feed pump must not be immersed too deeply, otherwise it will only hold sand and sludge, so that the pump will be contaminated in a short time.
It must then be dismantled and cleaned in order to enable the production operation to continue. The pump must also not be installed directly above the sand and mud layer, because otherwise it would only convey the brine there. However, it must not sit too high in the borehole, as it then only swallows gas or foam. Rather, the pump must be immersed in the petroleum layer and, if pumping with favorable efficiency is to be achieved, in the lower gas-poor part of this layer.
The immersion depth was previously determined either by means of a spoon lowered on the scoop rope or by means of a stringed rod. Both measurement methods are cumbersome and take a lot of time. The measurement by means of the ladder rope also provides only approximately correct values. A lot of time is lost for conveying through the measurement. If the measurement is inaccurate, it is also unavoidable to readjust the conveyor device after it has been lowered, which again takes a certain amount of time.
There is a risk that the pump will have to be shipped and removed again if it is lowered too low. The loss of time, however, means a loss of production and a loss of money.
The invention has the purpose of eliminating these deficiencies and enabling an accurate determination of the liquid level in a short time.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the soldering device is equipped in such a way that it can also be used to determine other variables that are characteristic of petroleum probes, e.g. B. the borehole depth and the position of the boundary level between oil and brine. By repeating it periodically
EMI1.2
be determined.
The determination of the so-called exploitation level is also of great importance. H. that oil level that is reached with continued production after the occurrence of stationary conditions. Its determination is only possible if the measurement can be carried out immediately after repeated spooning out of a certain quantity of oil, otherwise the level will rise again in the meantime. This level can also be determined by the plumbing device which forms the subject of the invention, since it allows the measurement to be carried out quickly.

According to the invention, a switch is attached to the solder, which is connected via a cable in a circuit with a current display device and which is opened or closed by an auxiliary body attached to the solder body when the auxiliary body is moved when it is immersed in the liquid. To operate the switch, a floating body attached to the plumb bob is best suited, which is lifted by the buoyancy of the liquid when the plumb bob is immersed. In order to be able to measure the depth of the borehole, a button is attached to the plumb line, which when the

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows the overall view of the soldering device in side view and partially in section. Fig. 2 in the view from above, Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the solder thread in section. FIGS. 4 and 5 show, in two different views, a further embodiment of the plumb line in section. On the surface of the earth 1 is the cable drum 4 with the two-core by means of the brackets 2, 3

the handle 15 can be reset to the zero position.
The band brake 16 with the brake lever 77, which is mounted on the boom 9, is attached to the side of the cable drum 4. One end 18 of the cable, which is led into the interior of the drum 1 and clamped by the clamp 19, is connected to the terminal box 20, from which the current is supplied to the slip rings 27, 22 with the brushes 23, 24 attached to the side of the drum to be led. The flashlight battery 26, which is connected in series with the buzzer 27, is connected to the terminal box 20 by means of the plug 25.
The hollow solder ball 29 is attached to the other end 28 of the cable. It forms a housing for the moving parts stored inside. On the frame 30, Fig. 3, is by means of the handlebar 31 and the angle lever. 3. 2 of the cork float 33 stored. The mercury switch 34, which is connected to the two conductors 35, 36 of the cable 28, is attached to the handlebar 31. With the arm: 37 of the angle lever 32, the cone 38 works together, which is attached to the button 39 with the footplate 40, which is slidably mounted in the frame 30. Its stroke is on the one hand through the Kegel'j8, on the other hand

can reach the float 33.
Through the door 43, Fig. 1, you can get to the moving parts in the housing.
EMI2.5
To spare the length of the cable that has run out, the rollers 6, 12, 1 and the counter 14, FIG. 1, are mounted in a special frame 44 which is detachably connected to the boom 9.
The device works in the following way: The position of the liquid level N-N in the borehole 10 is to be determined. For this purpose, by opening the band brake 76 by means of the lever 17, the plumb bob 29 is lowered into the borehole. The counter 14 registers the expired
EMI2.6
and the power source 26 is closed. When the buzzer responds, the measuring staff is made aware that the liquid level has been reached. Now, by closing the band brake, the drum 4 is stopped and the point at which the buzzer is responding is determined by repeatedly winding the cable up and down. The distance of the level from the earth's surface 7 is then equal to the length of the cable that has run out and can be read off directly on the counter 14.
To determine the borehole depth, the solder weight 29 is lowered even further until the footplate 40 hits the bottom of the borehole. The button 39 is pushed into the housing 29 when the plumb line is lowered further and, by means of the cone 38, brings one arm of the angle lever 32 back from the position 7a to the starting position 37. The float 33 is pulled down from the position into the starting position 33 against the buoyancy; likewise the mercury switch returns from the closed position 34a to the open position 34 and the circuit is opened. The silence of the buzzer indicates to the measuring staff that the bottom of the borehole has been reached,
the drill hole depth can be read on the counter 14.
The cable is then wound up again and the solder weight is pulled up. When passing through level 2V - A *, the first measurement can be checked again. Once the plumb weight

Sleeves 56, 57 'connected in the upper part of the solder wire, into which the pins J. S, J9 of the connector 60 attached to the lower end of the cable are inserted. The plug is through the union nut 61 with the
Solder weight 29 connected.
In the normal position, the float 47 rests with the part 62 on the stop 63. As soon as liquid penetrates into the housing, it is swiveled clockwise and the mercury switch? closed. The lower part 64 of the housing is designed as a button. When it hits the bottom of the borehole, it is pushed into the interior of the housing and thereby arrives at position 64a, FIG. 5. In the process, it strikes part 62 of the float and brings it back into the normal position.
In FIG. 6, the float 65 consists of a glass base which, together with the mercury switch 66, forms a glass body.
In FIG. 7, the Queek silver switch 67 is suspended in a traffic light-like body 68 in the housing 29.
The cork piece 69, which is balanced by a counterweight 70, sits on one side of the body 68. As soon as the body 68 is immersed in the liquid, its right side is lifted up by the float 69 and the mercury switch 67 is thereby closed. When the device hits the bottom of the borehole, the body 68 is pushed through the hollow cone 71 of the probe. 39 brought back into the horizontal position and thereby opened the mercury switch.
In FIG. 8 the float 72 is guided in the sleeve M in the interior of the housing 29. The Queek silver switch 74, which is also shown particularly in FIG. 9, is suspended by one end 75 of the float 72. The other end 76 is hinged to the button 39. As long as the solder is outside the liquid, the mercury switch is open. If the float is lifted from position 72 to position 72a when it is immersed in the liquid, then the float moves
Set the mercury switch to position 74a, in which the mercury 53 connects its contacts 51, 52.
When it hits the bottom of the borehole, the switch is activated by the button. 39 is brought into position 74b, thereby opening the switch again.
In FIG. 10, the wire electrodes 77, 78, which are connected to the conductors 35, 36, are insulated on the solder weight 29. The float vessel 79 with the flushing openings 80 is mounted axially displaceably with the plumb weight 29. It contains the highly conductive contact liquid 81. The stroke of the float vessel 79 is limited by the beads 82, 8: 3 on the solder weight 29.
The device works in the following way: When it is lowered, the eye vessel 79 rests on the bead 82, the electrodes 77, 78 are replaced. As soon as the device hits the liquid level, the float vessel 79 is held in place by the buoyancy; if the cable continues to slacken, the electrodes 77, 78 dip into the liquid 81. This closes the signal circuit.
This indicates to the measuring staff that the oil level has been reached. To determine the position of the limit level between crude oil and brine, the float vessel 79 is immersed in the oil by lowering the solder weight 29 further.
By filling the vessel 79 with the oil penetrating through the openings 80, the vessel will automatically return to its lowest position relative to the weight 29 due to the weight of this oil and therefore open the contact between the electrodes 77, 78. Now the device is lowered further until the level of the brine is reached. This can be seen from the repeated response of the signal device, since the current conduction between the electrodes 77, 78 is restored by the highly conductive brine penetrating into the vessel 79 and displacing the oil.
This device can also be used to measure the conductivity of the fluid in the borehole. For this purpose, the buzzer 27 and the flashlight battery 26 are switched off by pulling the plug 26, FIG. 1, and instead another power source and a measuring device are connected via the brushes 23, 24, FIG. 2, and the slip rings 21, 22 to the Cable ladder connected.
The transmitters of remote thermometers, remote manometers, devices for measuring the specific weight or the like can also be attached in the plumb weight 29. The cable then contains a correspondingly larger number of conductors and a correspondingly larger number of slip rings are attached to the drum of the winch.
