Telephonhörmuschel.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Telephonhörmuschel aus Isoliermaterial mit Metalleinlage und ist insbesondere auf die Anordnung und Ausbildung der Metalleinlage gerichtet.
Man kann entweder das zum Aufschrauben der Muschel auf das Gehäuse erforderliche Gewinde an der Metalleinlage anbringen oder das Isoliermaterial der Muschel selbst mit dem Gewinde versehen.
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Hörmuschel der zuletzt genannten Art und bezweckt eine Verbesserung derartiger Apparatteile zwecks Erzielung einer erhöhten Festigkeit, was gemäss der Erfindung dadurch erreicht wird, dass die Muschel mit einer von dem Isoliermaterial vollständig umgebenen Metalleinlage versehen ist, welche sich von der das Gewinde bildenden Seitenwand der Muschel bis in ihre Vorderwand erstreckt.
Die Einlage kann infolge dieser Anordnung die beim Aufschrauben der Muschel auf das Telephongehäuse auftretende Verspannung gut aufnehmen, da hiedurch der das Gewinde enthaltende seitliche Rand der Muschel eine besonders grosse Festigkeit erhält.
Die Einlage ist gemäss der Erfindung mit einer zentralen Öffnung und mit Aussparungen nahe dem Gewinde der Muschel versehen. Die zentrale Aussparung gestattet die Anordnung beliebig angeordneter Kanäle zum Durchtritt der Schallwellen in der Muschel, während die andern Aussparungen eine innige Verbindung der Einlage mit dem sie umgebenden Isoliermaterial der Muschel und zugleich auch ein gutes Ausfüllen der Form an dem das Gewinde bildenden Teil der Muschel ermöglichen.
Die Erfindung ist auf der Zeichnung an einem Ausführungsbeispiel in mehreren Figuren veranschaulich. Fig. 1 ist ein Schnitt durch die Telephonmusehel mit darin im Schnitt gezeigter Metalleinlage. Fig. 2 stellt die Metalleinlage für sich allein in Draufsicht dar. Fig. 3 zeigt die Metalleinlage in Seitenansicht und teilweise im Schnitt.
Die beispielsweise aus Messingblech bestehende Metalleinlage 1 ist von schalenförmiger Gestaltung mit einer zentralen Öffnung 2 und mit einer grösseren Anzahl von Aussparungen 3 an der den Seitenrand bildenden Biegekante. Die zentrale Öffnung 2 gestattet die Anordnung von Kanälen 4 in der Muschel 5 für den Durchtritt der Schallwellen, während die Aussparungen 3 an der Biegekante vom Boden zum Seitenrand der Einlage 1 eine besonders innige Verbindung mit der Isoliermasse der Hörmuschel in der Nähe des Gewindes 6 ermöglichen. Auch wird durch diese Aussparungen 3 der Metalleinlage 1 ein gutes Ausfüllen der Form mit dem Füllstoff an dem Gewinde 6 bei der Herstellung derartiger Formstücke erzielt.
Da das Einsatzstück 1 mit seiner abgebogenen Seitenwand in die seitliche Begrenzungswand der Muschel 5 hineinragt, so kann das Einsatzstück die Spannung der Muschel beim Aufschrauben auf ihr Gehäuse gut aufnehmen und erhöht so die Festigkeit des Presskörpers.

The invention relates to a telephone earpiece made of insulating material with a metal insert and is particularly directed to the arrangement and configuration of the metal insert.

The invention relates to an earpiece of the last-mentioned type and aims to improve such apparatus parts in order to achieve increased strength, which is achieved according to the invention in that the shell is provided with a metal insert completely surrounded by the insulating material, which extends from the Thread-forming side wall of the mussel extends into its front wall.
As a result of this arrangement, the insert can easily absorb the tension that occurs when the shell is screwed onto the telephone housing, since this gives the lateral edge of the shell containing the thread particularly great strength.
According to the invention, the insert is provided with a central opening and with recesses near the thread of the shell. The central recess allows the arrangement of arbitrarily arranged channels for the passage of the sound waves in the shell, while the other recesses allow an intimate connection of the insert with the shell insulating material and at the same time also a good filling of the shape on the part of the shell forming the thread .
The invention is illustrated in the drawing using an exemplary embodiment in several figures. Fig. 1 is a section through the telephone jack with the metal insert shown in section. The metal insert 1, which consists for example of sheet brass, is of a shell-shaped design with a central opening 2 and a larger number of recesses 3 on the bending edge forming the side edge. The central opening 2 allows the arrangement of channels 4 in the shell 5 for the passage of sound waves, while the recesses 3 on the bending edge from the bottom to the side edge of the insert 1 enable a particularly close connection with the insulating compound of the earpiece near the thread 6 . These recesses 3 in the metal insert 1 also ensure that the shape is well filled with the filler on the thread 6 when producing such shaped pieces.
Since the insert 1 protrudes with its bent side wall into the lateral boundary wall of the shell 5, the insert can absorb the tension of the shell when it is screwed onto its housing and thus increases the strength of the press body.
