Elektromagnetisches Relais.
Fig. 2 ist eine Seitenansicht des Relais. Fig. 6 und 7 stellen perspektivische

Electromagnetic relay.
The invention relates to an electromagnetic relay, in particular for telephone systems, in which a yoke piece and an armature lie in the same plane and are adjacent to one another
The ends form a blade bearing, the armature being held on its axis of rotation by a spring, which tends to hold the yoke piece together with the armature. According to the invention, the spring lies in the same plane as the Joehstüek and the anchor and is arranged in a slot of the anchor and / or in the Jochstüek. The spring is best attached to a point on the axis about which the armature is rotatable, so that the torque exerted on the armature by the spring is zero.
The pole piece can be fixedly connected to the relay core, which is mounted on the relay frame so that it can be adjusted with respect to the armature and held in any position by a screw which passes through a threaded hole in the yoke .
In the drawing, FIG. 1 is a plan view of the relay, from which the armature and the yoke piece can be seen. Fig. 2 is a side view of the relay. Figure 3 is a view of one end of the relay showing the pole piece. In Fig. 4 and 5 a variant of the attachment to the Joehstück is shown, only part of the anchor and yoke piece is shown. 6 and 7 represent perspective
Partial views of the relay showing the core and windings (Fig. 7) separated from the remainder of the relay (Fig. 6).
The relay is constructed from a yoke piece 1 which has two protruding shoulders 12 and 13 which extend at right angles to the main part of the yoke piece 1. The coil 22 with the coil flange 23 is held in place by a core 24 which protrudes from the coil 22 and passes through
Holes 25 and 26 in the shoulders 13 and 12 of the yoke piece 1 goes. If the coil is mounted in this position, it is secured with a single screw 11, which, as soon as it is screwed all the way in, makes frictional contact with the core 24 and holds it rigidly.
As shown in FIGS. 1, 3 and 6, the contact springs 2 form a complete unit which is fastened to the yoke piece 1 by means of a screw 10. An identical set of springs can be arranged on each side of the yoke piece 1, as shown in FIG. The armature 17 is U-shaped, the open ends of the U being provided with grooves 44 which come into engagement with knife edges 18 attached to the free ends of the Joehstück 1.
These knife edges are therefore in the grooves of the anchor that when it is in the normal position. the armature and the yoke piece lie in the same plane. The armature can rotate freely about these knife edges 18 and remains in engagement with the same by helical springs 19 which are fastened at the ends at points 21 and 20 respectively on the armature and the yoke piece and lie in slots in armature 17, so that, viewed from the side, the slots in armature 17 form a housing for springs 19.
The connection between armature and yoke piece can also be made in other ways without deviating from the essence of the invention. For example, several springs 19 can be provided in each arm of the armature and the yoke piece, or the armature can only consist of a single arm and have one or more springs 19 to hold it on its axis of rotation.

and the force exerted by the springs only tries to keep the armature and the yoke piece in engagement with one another.
Fig. 4 and 5 contain modifications of the arrangement, with only one arm of the armature and the yoke
EMI2.2
To bring direction with the yoke piece 1 and give the anchor a natural lateral inclination. In this case, the tension of the springs 19 holds the armature 17 against the yoke piece 1 with sufficient force to prevent the armature from sliding sideways with respect to the ends of the yoke piece 1 due to gravity. It can also be seen that the fastening points 20 and 21 can be moved further away from or closer to the axis of rotation, as a result of which the torque of the armature 17 is increased or decreased.
It can also be seen that the knife edges 18 are arranged on the anchor. while they are on the yoke piece as shown in FIG. Another variant is shown in FIG. 5, in which the springs are attached to the joehead in such a way that they exert a slight torque in the armature 17 and thus tend to keep it in line with the joehead 1. In this case, a small tongue 61, which protrudes from the end of the Joehstückes 7 and to which the spring 19 is attached, prevents the pivot ends of the armature sliding on the pivot bearings parallel to the edge; this is also shown in FIG. 2, where the springs 19 are fastened on tongues 62 at a point which lies in the axis about which the armature is rotatably mounted.
In Fig. 2, however, the tongue 62 forms part of the yoke piece 1, while in the variant shown in Fig. 5, the tongue 61 (which must be longer in this case) forms an end piece of an auxiliary plate 60 which is attached to the Yoke piece is rigidly attached.
The free end of the armature is provided with a slot 43 which fits around a screw 49 provided in the pole piece 27. The head 28 of this screw is slightly larger than the slot 43 and thereby forms a backstop to limit the movement of the armature. The screw 49 can be arranged in any position and is held in this position by a spiral spring 29 surrounding it. A similar screw 54 with head 56 and spring 55 is provided on the opposite side of the pole piece 27 and protrudes through the pole piece and the core, forming a front stop to the path on which the armature can move when operated limit.
It can therefore be seen that the play of the armature can easily be adjusted by the position of the two screws 49 and 54. After they have been adjusted, the two screws are held in any desired position with the aid of springs 29, 55.
The pole piece 27 is rigidly connected to the core 24 and shaped so that it presents the armature with a surface of suitable size. By opening the screw 11, the coil, core and pole piece (Fig. 7) can be rotated at will and by this simple device the pole piece can be adjusted so that its flat side is exactly parallel to the face of armature 17.
The construction has the advantage that a good magnetic connection is guaranteed and that

To obtain pole piece. This precise linear alignment, once set, is permanent so that reliable and consistent relays can be produced.
The spring mounting is such that although the tension is sufficient to keep the armature in firm contact with the yoke, the armature is almost unaffected other than its normal movement. Therefore, there is little other load than that caused by the contact springs.
