Method of manufacturing a layered insulating material.
It is known to produce insulating materials by applying thin layers of lacquer to the carrier and baking the layers of lacquer at high temperatures. The individual layers of the so obtained

high insulation or conductivity, the layers of high insulation have a thickness of 0.01 mm and less. However, the use of special carriers for the individual layers of lacquer has a disruptive effect and can, under certain circumstances, have an unfavorable effect on the homogeneity of the insulating material.
The method according to the invention allows such insulating materials consisting of individual layers of lacquer to be produced without any carrier. First, the insulating material is applied to a base, e.g. B. a metal carrier or a paper covered with gelatin, applied and generated a paint film at normal drying temperatures. This lacquer film is then removed from its base l. nd now in the oven at temperatures above 150 C, e.g. B. at 200-270 C, post-dried. The required further coatings are applied to the film obtained in this way in a known manner and each layer is dried at high temperature.
The above-described method relates to the production of any desired insulating materials and is not restricted to those which consist of layers of alternately different degrees of insulation or conductivity. Such insulating materials have proven to be particularly useful; in particular if they have a thickness of less than 0-01 mm in the layers of higher insulation.
