Drive fiu'automatic machines for casting stereotype pla. kill.
The invention relates to a drive for automatic machines for casting stereotype plates. in which the crankshaft moving the casting tray is driven by means of a crank pin which is rotated by a slotted crank whose axis of rotation is eccentric to the crankshaft. In an arrangement of this type, according to the invention, at the beginning of the opening of the casting mold, the crank pin engaging in the slotted crank should be closest to the axis of rotation of the slotted crank.
With this device, the mold is initially opened slowly and then with increasing speed. As a result, the die is stripped from the newly cast plate with slow movement of the mold parts, without the total time of the automatic casting process including the closing and opening of the mold being extended.
In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated, for example, u. Between FIG. 1 shows a side view of the machine with the mold closed and FIG. 2 shows the same view with the mold open. The mold consists of the core a and the shell b. The core a is from the

the point c swings. The slotted crank i is driven by the motor l, through the intermediary of a suitable gear. driven by the elliptical gears in, M.
At the moment the casting mold is opened, the axis of the crankshaft f is above the axis k of the seated crank i, so that the crank pin h is closest to the axis k in this rotational position.
As a result of the rotation of the seat crank t, the crank arm g is moved more slowly than in any other rotational position. The casting tray b is therefore removed from the casting core a slowly at first and then at an ever increasing speed by the movement of the slotted crank i.
At the same time, the frame d rotates about the axis e, so that the crank axis t reaches the position shown in FIG. 2 relative to the axis k.
At the beginning of the opening of the mold a, b there is a short radius of the elliptical wheel m compared to a long radius of the elliptical wheel n. So that the speed of the axis k is lowest due to the translation of the two elliptical wheels in this angular position.
EMI1.2
of the cast plate is extremely slow, but the total time of the casting process is not extended.
