Water gas generator for the gasification of fine-grained or powdered fuels in uninterrupted operation.

falls into it as rain due to its own weight, but makes the gassing from the bottom up appear less advantageous.
If you attach particular importance to a good mixture of fuel dust with the glowing gas vapor mixture or if you are dealing with types of coal that only gasify very slowly, nothing stands in the way, even with the apparatus shown (gases from top to bottom) the coal already outside the Reaction pipe to mix with the gas and, as mentioned before with gassing from bottom to top, to blow into the pipe as a good mixture.
After a partial flow has been branched off, the water gas exiting at 8 flows into the useful gas line. The sensible heat of the entire gas flow can be used in a known manner.
Steam is added to the branched off partial flow and this mixture is then brought through the slide or valves 9 or 10 into chambers 2 or 3, depending on which chamber is in operation. At 4, the gas flows partly into the conversion space 1 and partly to the other heating chamber in order to heat it up after adding combustion air. The combustion air is fed in at either 11 or 12. The resulting combustion products flow to the forge at 13 or 14. After the chamber has been heated up. 3 or after the chamber 2 has cooled down, the direction is reversed. In spite of the alternating operation of the heater, the gas generation in the conversion pipe 1 continues uninterrupted.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Water gas generator for the gasification of fine-grained or dusty fuels in uninterrupted operation, in which the heat required to generate water gas is in the conversion chamber
