   Österreichische PATENTSCHRIFT Nr. 1 0980.

   FIRMA B. & F. KOERTING IN WIEN.

  GliederkesselfürDampf-oderWasserheizungen.

Austrian PATENT LETTER No. 1 0980.

   COMPANY B. & F. KOERTING IN VIENNA.

Sectional boiler for steam or water heating.

The invention consists in that the BEZW as steam and water room. The upper part a of the Stamm Patent No. 3543, which serves as a hot water space, is omitted, but instead the individual links are manufactured in such a way that their upper parts themselves contain the steam and water space. form the hot water room.

1 is a longitudinal section of the boiler, in FIG. 2 likewise a longitudinal section along the line 4-B of FIG. 1, in FIG. 3 a cross section along the line C-D and in FIG
 EMI1.1

As can be seen, the protruding ribs h, hl, 1b2 of the individual links e form the trains in which the fire gases give off their heat. The links are arranged in two opposite rows and leave space b between them free as a fill shaft, which is closed off by the cover c.

The fire ribs stop at a certain distance from the upper edge of the links, and the upper part of the same is formed as a cavity in the entire depth of the links. This cavity, which is not washed around by the fire, forms part of the steam space.
 EMI1.2
below (01) in connection with each other, so that the boiler has a uniform water or.

Has vapor space, whereby the individual links are connected by means of the small holes (running screws) next to the openings o and 01.

At both ends, the rows of links are closed by an end link with a fire box for stoking.

Fig. 5 shows such a boiler without the steam space, designed as a hot water boiler. The lettering and the mode of operation are the same as in the case of the boiler described first.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Articulated boiler according to Patent No. 3543, characterized in that the collecting tank (a), which is tightly attached to the upper ends of the individual links, is replaced by the extension of the links, respectively. and through the expansion of the individual links by the depth of the link at the level of the collecting tank, as well as through the attachment of lateral openings in the steam and water spaces.
