Holding device for fountain pens.
The invention relates to a holding device for fountain pens, the purpose of which is to prevent the evaporation of the ink and thereby keep the fountain pen always ready for use.
According to the invention, the holding device for the spring holder consists of a sleeve which is mounted on a special base plate or the desk top in such a way that it can be swung out in all directions above the plate. A seat pan is attached to the plate, in which the closed end of the sleeve, designed as a ball, sits and is held in any position by spring action. An end sleeve is slidably arranged in the sleeve and is pressed resiliently against the front end of the spring holding device by a spring in order to close off air access to the spring and to keep it always in a moist state. The outward movement of the liner is limited by a shoulder. The opening of the sleeve is widened outwards, its inner wall is provided with grooves.
In the drawings: FIG. 2 shows a plan view of or a longitudinal section through the sleeve, FIG. 3 shows a section through the sleeve and bushing, on an enlarged scale, FIGS. 4-12 show details and various embodiments of the device.
In the base plate 1 or in the desk top sits a bearing 2 (Fig. 1-5), which has an annular wall 3 and an inner, machined spherical surface 4, which forms the seat pan 5 for a ball 6, which is at the end of the Sleeve 10 is shaped. At the lower end of the Igerwind 3 a flat spring 7 is provided, which presses the ball 6 into the socket and holds the ball and therefore also the sleeve in any position.
The bearing 2 sits on the base plate 1 with the shoulder 8, which has a cutout 9 so that the sleeve 10 with the spring holder can be swung out into the horizontal position (FIG. 2). The

A soft rubber ring 14 can be arranged in the sleeve 10, which holds the spring retainer qh Rê1bung in place when it is inserted through the cap 24, or the sleeve 10 has an internal thread M (FIG. 9), which is used to receive the thread on the Spring holder sleeve is used. In the sleeve 10 is slidably seated

Plate 1 takes the pen holder in the horizontal position.
In Fig. 11 and 12, another seat pan 22 is shown which has three resilient fingers 23 which hold the ball resiliently. These fingers 23 can be attached directly to the base plate or the desk top. The oscillation of the sleeve 10 in all directions makes it easier to grasp and insert the spring, and the oscillation into the horizontal position enables the holding device together with the spring holder to be accommodated in a very small space.
